  1. Hi guys, I'm trying to use the Dr Octave Pedal in the Pedalboard to emulate the Boss OC-3 Super Octave feature that allows you to separate the bass notes of the guitar and play an octave down (I play solo gigs and would like to have a makeshift bass). I believe it requires a Splitter set to Freq. and split the high frequencies from the low ones, send the low ones to Dr Octave and voila, but alas, it's not working. The Splitter is not actually splitting the signal as I can still hear the Dr Octave pedal being applied to higher notes. I don't know if this is due to a setup mistake or it's just that it can't be done. I'm using a Focuserite Saffire Pro 40 Interface, and an Early 2015 MacBook Pro with MainStage 3.3, and obviously, a guitar, which is an acoustic Martin guitar. Thanks for any help.
  2. I’m connecting my MOTIF XF8 to my iMac through USB (I found the same problem with MIDI, so I reverted back). I set my MOTIF so I can use the sounds on the MOTIF in LOGIC, and soon as I create a track with an External MIDI setup in LOGIC (this is to use the sounds from the MOTIF on LOGIC), I hear a note from which ever sound is set on the MIDI Channel of the MOTIF. Right now, I have my Channel 1 with Full Concert Grand, so I hear a prolonged lower tone. Now this is where it gets interesting. I hear the same low tone whenever I try to record on that track. Then, when I add an additional audio track (say, to add a vocal), the same lower tone gets repeated on a click. Even when I’m not recording I can see in my DIGIDESIGN 003 RACK that my MIDI OUT 2 light indicator is blinking at the same rate as the click I keep hearing from my MOTIF. You can imagine how profoundly annoying this could be. I’ve tried various MIDI setups on my UTILITIES on the XF, but with no progress. Any ideas? Configuration Info: iMac 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo OS X 10.9.1 6GB RAM MOTIF XF8 DIGIDESIGN 003 Rack
  3. Any help on this? I'm mostly concerned about the strange noise coming from the MOTIF when creating an External MIDI Track or Software Instrument and changing the plugin to External Instrument. It's heard through playback and recording. Any ideas? It's a constant note being played. Another thing I may add is that the Motif and the 003 are not connected on Audio MIDI Setup as I can't link one with the other.
  4. I'm new to Logic and MIDI setup. I have a Motif XF8 connected to Logic Pro X through USB. And a DigiDesign 003 Rack by FireWire. I set up my Motif to LOCAL OFF and set the Sequencer to Song. I create a Software Instrument, and set the Port and the Channel for a track. My problem is that I can't mute or lower the volume on that track. The other strange behavior is that when I create an Audio Track a constant beat keeps sounding. If I change the Song to Pattern it still happens but with the sound of the instrument in that channel on the Motif. (Basically, it takes up the sound of the Track in the Motif Sequencer). Am I doing something wrong? Could there be something wrong with the setup? My only solution is to restart the computer. The sound problem persists even if I reboot Logic or the Motif. I have an iMac 27" 3.6 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 6GB RAM using MAC OSX Mavericks.
