  1. I'm trying to use Screen Time to track my working hours when producing music. But the time it shows spent in Logic Pro is way less than it should be. I wonder if it doesn't count Logic as the focus while plugin windows are open...? Has anyone had experience with this? I'm looking for a possible fix, or a 3rd party software that is able to track this correctly. Thanks!
  2. I have the same problem. Had it for years, and now working on a major project, it is DRIVING ME INSANE. Looking everywhere for help, so giving this thread a bump! Cheers
  3. Hey! Anyone else getting problems with this? The second I choose a plugin to load into a slot in the "selection-based processing" window, Logic completely disappears. Instant crash and close. I thought before it was with only certain plugins, now it seems to be with anything. Any experienced this? ...and has anyone managed to FIX this? Cheers! Jon
  4. In Nuendo / Cubase, it's possible to open up multiple instances of the same plugin, on different channels, and hit a link button. This means changes made on one instance are applied to all linked instances. Is there a way to do this in Logic? Many thanks!
  5. Hey guys! I wanna give this thread another bump haha... I'm having the very same issue. And it seems to be independent of which controllers or plugins I'm using. Even if I'm not trying to assign the smart control knobs to hardware knobs, I'm getting the crash. Logic just quits. All I want to do is assign a MIDI CC to one of the knobs. Possibly the simplest thing I could do with it haha. Anyone made any progress with this? I've been submitting the crash reports to Apple when it happens, but this problem has been around for a long time now, so I doubt it's high on their list of bug fixes.
  6. Ah that's a shame. Ok, thanks for the definitive answer!
  7. Hi folks, I want to show MIDI CC values (as shown in the piano roll of the attached image), but in the track on the arrange page, as a lane on or below the channel. It seems only possible to do with with automation data, or am I missing something? So, I want Logic to write MIDI CC to the track overall, rather than it being only tied to the region. If it's not a built-in feature, would a workaround be to use the a MIDI FX plugin, and automate the controls on that? Essentially converting automation data into MIDI CC data. Thanks!
  8. Ah, got it! Thanks so much for the quick reply!
  9. Hi guys, I have Logic 10.2.3 and can't find this feature, nor anywhere online explaining how to use it. Can you help me out? Cheers!
  10. Yeah, it's because I misread your signature. Thanks for the pointer on my own, creating it now.
  11. Thanks Jordi. Out of interest, someone on that thread suggested that in OSX Mavericks, this bug is non-existent. Just to cross-reference that, you're still running Snow Leopard, yes? I wonder if upgrading to Mavericks would help... I'm considering it.
  12. Hey Ashermusic - are you saying that this all works fine if running Logic X on OSX Mavericks? Does the same go for markers in the global tracks? That's where I most need the padlock to show up. If upgrading to Mavericks is a fix for these bugs in X, I'll be up for trying it out! Let me know.
  13. On Logic 9 and previous versions, whenever a region or marker is locked to SMPTE position, a handy little padlock symbol appears on it. In Logic X, this only happens on regions, and not on the markers in the global tracks. Is there a setting I can change to show the padlock symbol on the markers that have been SMPTE locked? Cheers!
