  1. Yeah no worries. The last thing I could try is updating to Catalina. Except I really don’t want to do that because I’m afraid many of my plugins will stop working. It’s so weird that it’s random though. It’s driving me nuts.
  2. Recording to external hard drive. Western Digital I believe. Usb 3 connection using dedicated usb slot.
  3. The Apollo driver is updated as well as the firmware for the Apollo itself. Yes, I’m using a dedicated Thunderbolt port.
  4. Now that I think about it I’ve tracked other things (choirs, elec guitar, etc) without any plugins and the same thing happens.
  5. While tracking, I’ll have the Townsend sphere mic emulation plugin loaded, as well FabFilter pro c2, UAD Teletronix silver, and Waves De-Esser. I monitor everything through UAD Console though.
  6. Mac Pro Late 2013 Mac OS Mojave 10.14.5 UAD Apollo 8p Logic 10.4.6
  7. I have the weirdest issue while recording. I will for example, be tracking vocals and what appears to be at random, a take will be slightly offset by maybe 1/4 of a second. This doesn't happen to all takes but, just 1 out of maybe 10. I never know when it's going to happen and it makes things very frustrating. For whatever reason Logic just wants to move over that particular region to be maybe 300 samples early. Any help to figure out this problem would be appreciated.
  8. For a while now, every time I open Logic all of my 485 plugins are re-scanned and it's a real pain waiting so long every time. I've tried trashing my AudioUnitsCache file, and that didn't do anything. I don't have Novation Automap installed. I've looked at countless other threads and have tried everything that was recommended but nothing seems to fix it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Running Mac os 10.13.6 and Logic 10.4.4
  9. I did individual bounces and came out with weird results. With volume/pan automation turned on, all audio tracks and many of the midi tracks bounced fine. For example a cello section and other strings in Kontakt bounced fine as well as drums from EZ Drummer and Ultrabeat. What didn't bounce was a piano in Kontakt and a bass in alchemy as well as various synths and pads from Logic's stock synth plugins. I turned off automation for any of the tracks that didn't bounce and that still didn't do anything, so it has nothing to do with whether or not they have any actual automation on them.
  10. Yes I'll watch the Finder window and they will literally disappear from the folder they're being saved to as soon as it's done. There are no errors or messages after it completes and they're not going to the trash. I need to double check but the files that remain appear to be only audio tracks from the project, and no midi tracks. I haven't tried singling out any yet but I will try that. It's just weird that everything works fine when I don't include volume automation.
  11. I'm trying to export all of my tracks as audio files in Logic, but for some reason whenever I have "Include Volume/Pan Automation" turned on most of the exported files dissapear after done being exported. During the exporting process all of the tracks are created and can be seen in Finder, it's only when it finishes that they disappear. The files that are left appear to be only audio tracks from the project. I have no problems however when I don't include volume/pan automation. Any help would be appreciated!
  12. Hi all, does anybody have an idea on how to get a similar sound to the synth that's on the intro to "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus? Besides Logic's synths, been trying with Komplete 10 as well. Thanks!
  13. Having nearly all of the tracks frozen was the issue. I simply unfroze some of the tracks and that fixed it. Thanks for the helpful info and tips.
