  1. Hey David, Thank you for your reply. Back at the studio now so going to give that a whirl...
  2. So.... I have been on (and off) this project for a year or so and it's finally coming to the bounce stage. The project is 70+ tracks, played live (Drms/Bass/Git/Keys/Perc/BVs/5 Horns) to create backing tracks for live use. I recorded everything so I've had control from the start. The playback rig is 24 channel. Here is the channel list I need to create: 1. Playback: Clicks (IEMs only) 2. Playback: Cues / Count ins (IEMs only) 3. Playback: Effects L (includes some strings, samples, synths) 4. Playback: Effects R (includes some strings, samples, synths) 5. Playback: Drums - Triggers 6. Playback: Drums - Kick 7. Playback: Drums - Snare 8. Playback: Drums - OH L 9. Playback: Drums - OH R 10. Playback: Percussion L 11. Playback: Percussion R 12. Playback: Bass 13. Playback: Guitar 14. Playback: Keys L 15. Playback: Keys R 16. Playback: Trumpet 1 17. Playback: Trumpet 2 18. Playback: Trombone 2 19. Playback: Tenor Sax 20. Playback: Baritone Sax 21. Playback: BVs L 22. Playback: BVs R 23. Playback: Backup Full Mix L (backup only) 24. Playback: Backup Full Mix R (backup only) Is there any way of using the Export All As Audio function whilst retaining FX routing (reverbs etc-not on the individual channels)? I'm looking at 18 passes per tune otherwise which is hugely time consuming. I feel like I'm missing a trick, am I? I thought about creating Buses but as I need separate stems for each brass instrument I'm not sure it'll be any faster to create a bus for each (because reverb and group Bus EQ)? Any help would be hugely appreciated!
  3. So, I having this issue which is driving me NUTS! Say I've recorded a synth pad. I then go into record on the same channel, open the instrument and go to overdub some filter movement. I can hear the filter working but Logic isn't recording anything. Stop the track and there's nothing there, just the original recording of the pad. Can anyone help? Tearing my hair out..! Thanks in advance.
  4. Had a call out of the bliue to resurect a project from 2004 for a client. I have all the files etc but as we know I can't open them in X or 9..and my old Macs are long gone.. Any ideas? Thanks!
  5. So a major issue I'm having with a project.. Moved from Logic 8 on a G5 to Logic 9 on a new macPro. Very big live show (3 hours long) reopened on the original drive on my new system (via a SATA caddy). With no issues. Began bouncing stems from the most recent version from the caddy, re-name the version as I bounce. Do some work on another project, re-open the "live show" project and Logic can't find a load of audio files. Press "skip all" and all the files I've bounced from so far are missing along with a few others. After a lot of searching it appears that the it's the overview of the files are no longer there and have been re-named as "preview #001-xxxx" etc etc. If I open an earlier version of the project it works fine, anything I open thats recently saved I have loads of files missing. In the "media" window I get an exclamation mark next to the missing files, manually try to locate and the files don't exist on any drive. Or in the trash. If I save (either apple S or rename) I lose the files again... Driving me MENTAL!! Anyone got any light to shine? Done a disk warrior and a disk utility...
