  1. Ok, same here Logic 9.1.8, Mavericks, Quad core i7, 16gb RAM, I am using an external 7200 rpm drive. I was running logic pro 9 in OSX 10.7.5 for ages and my projects were running fine. I never once noticed the CPU levels spiking into the red. EVER. I upgraded to Mavericks and now 2 of the CPU's are constantly in the red! While the others look normal. It is the same in 32 bit or 64 bit mode. This is such a joke. Surely this is a bug in Mavericks? I am about 1 day away from quitting logic forever and buying cubase 7. And after that i'll probably buy a pc. Are Apple going to fix this? Or will they just tell me to upgrade to Logic X? Well actually i wouldn't mind trying logic X to see if it has the same issue... but oops Apple forgot to make a trial version. I have tried changing a whole bunch of settings in Logic, but to be honest I don't see why I c=should even need to try that. Surely it should work the same in Mavericks - if not better right? Aaaaarrgggh,
  2. I'd just like to mention that nothing on this thread [sOLVED] this problem for me! Not sure why it was marked as solved - but now it is!... I had exactly the same problem, whenever i drag an audio part all the sound just disssapears for no apparent reason. I found that clicking the SOLO button - the one next to the Metronome button (the square with the S in it) on and off magically made the sound come back. This DOES solve the problem but I would love to know what is causing it? Is there something in the preferences that says 'solo some non existent track every time I drag an audio part'? or is this a bug?
  3. Aha... yes i did change screensets - that must be it! Is there a way to keep it ON by default?
  4. This has totally done my head in for years literally. But I finally worked out what is happening - the 'Snap to Absolute Values' keeps on switching itself off. I have no idea why it does that. Is that a bug or am I doing something that turns it off? Because I switch it on and then later I suddenly find that not a single Snap option works, it drives me insane for an hour, then I suddenly notice that 'Snap to Absolute Values' is un-ticked again! Aaaarrgghh! Is it just me or isn't 'snapping to absolute values' the whole point of snap?! Why would you ever want to turn that off? Anyway, more importantly why does logic switch it off without me un-checking it?!
