  1. I am editing some MIDI horns in Logic 10.7.4 When I open the Editor, I can see the notes in the Score, and I can hear the instrument. But in the piano roll, it's blank. If I open automation, I can see notes automated in the piano roll, but I dont actually see any notes in the piano roll. Anyone know what I'm missing here? How can I fix this? I want to adjust some of the notes.
  2. I have a midi region. There is a plus symbol in it and I can't figure out why! I know this is simple. But Google has gotten me nowhere. Anyone?
  3. So, I was playing around with some transposition in a song, and I did something I can't figure out how to reverse. At some point, everything - both midi and audio tracks - are getting lower. I must have changed the transposition. When I open global tracks, the transposition is at 0 for the entire song. At one point I had changed transposition, but I got rid of it and there are no more points on the line. Likewise, at some point I accidentally changed the song key, but I changed that so it's all in the same key. I wonder if maybe there I did something wrong? That said, the transposition I'm hearing doesnt sound like it's a perfect octave away. Any thoughts? I can't freaken figure this out.
  4. Ugh. So frustrating. I'm thinking I should cut the phrase up and put it on different tracks so it analyzes those.
  5. I did. Not doing that. What has happened when it doesn't disappear is I get the tiniest bit of the missing note. I know this is an odd and vague sounding issue. I could screenshot a photo tommorrow if that might help
  6. I have a couple words that Flex Pitch has wrongly identified as one long note. It can tell it's goes up and down but it registers it all as one so I can't edit the pitch closely. I know you can cut a note in half with the scissors tool. I'm doing that...but when I do....the part to the right of the scissors is disappearing. Eek! Any thoughts?
  7. I'm working with someone's guitar, and there's something that's dinging at 2350 khz. I can find it with the channel EQ and lower that. However....I wonder what other ways there are to target a very particular problematic frequency? Even the minimum width for a point in the channel EQ seems like a wide swadth and I wonder if I can be even more focused to try and lower that particular sound in the mix. What other tools in the app might help me?
  8. Blinkofani, such good advice. Thanks dude!
  9. I'm making some music with Logic. Some stock instruments are great (looking at you Vintage Mellotron) but others just sound too MIDI-ish to me. Any recs for 3rd party strings? I've been doing research online but forums have introduced me to so many things I don't know.
  10. I've been playing with the Mellotron. I'm new to trying to use it in produced tracks, and I'd love any advice. I feel like there are nuances to it I have no idea. So....talk to me like I'm stupid...any suggestions for how to use the Mellotron in Logic? From playing to mixing, I'm open to hearing any advice!
  11. I know this is simple....but I can't figure it out and after 15 minutes of internet research, I'm posting here. I recorded some guitar tracks for a song. I did about 5 takes, using two different mics. I want to be able to choose the best parts in one take folder and have those changes automatically occur in the other track so they stay the same. How do I do that?
