  1. I think Audition has a LOT more options for adding ID tags, image etc, but Tag Editor Lite is a free program which allows you to add the basic info to an MP3.
  2. It seems mp3 is the most common format for podcasts (probably for the smaller file size)?
  3. Hello: I'm trying to get a podcast interview prepped for distribution, but having problems with the newer version of Adobe Audition. I know you can adjust loudness, set LUFS, add ID tags and thumbnail video (if you know how to use it). But I'm wondering if I can do all of these things with Logic X? Let me know if you know THANKS
  4. Hello: For some reason my Logic session can't find/won't load a missing .wav file (not good) but I know exactly where it is. My question that I can't seem to find anywhere: How to insert/replace the empty region with the missing file - and keep the misc. edits? Yes, I've tried "Locate missing file" a few times when opening the session - maybe I didn't do that right? Okay thanks & let me know UPDATE: all it took was tracking down the missing file and "select" and it dropped the file right into the empty region - although I had to nudge things a bit to get back into alignment - strange
  5. Okay here's this video that purports to do this move WITHOUT bouncing to new tracks - I couldn't figure out where he's clicking with the fuzzy resolution so I finally gave up:
  6. I will give it a shot. FYI there's one video (I couldn't get it to work) who says to cut the regions after panning hard left/right, and then join them back together without bouncing - who knows?
  7. Hello: I have a stereo track with two people talking on lavaliers, one is hard left, the other hard right, and a little bleed in between. My hope is to create separate MONO tracks for each person, and tweak/sweeten each from there. I've looked at a few YouTube videos but they don't give a lot of details (gloss over) key areas of their process - can you help with some details? THANK YOU!
  8. Sooooo.... is one advantage of having all those line outs being able to plug into a PA so you can do a live band recording? What other reasons would there be? Thanks
  9. That's what I was thinking - do they even MAKE ADATS anymore? So while it may be factually (legally) sound, the reality is not many people will have the gear to actually enable all 18 channels at once with that unit.
  10. Great thanks - again, not sure if it's better to combine two interfaces or just break down and get the larger one to handle recording larger groups
  11. Hello: I currently have a 4-channel Behringer audio interface UMC404HD, which works fine, new it's around $180 Now I'm looking at an 18-channel (is that right?) Behringer U-Phoria UMC1820 USB Audio Interface, it's around $300 new. QUESTION: If I get a 2nd Behringer (2 channel or 4 channel), is it possible to use BOTH interfaces at the same time with my Mcbook Pro & Logic? Yes I know the 8-channel unit might make more sense, but not sure I want to spend the money (or need that many tracks). But now I'm mostly just curious if anyone here has tried using 2 interfaces at once? THANK YOU chef
  12. No worries Dave, you and your site are fantastic and a terrific resource - and I was able to figure that out on my side. FYI it's interesting how the YouTube videos I saw skimmed over perhaps the most important first step: Adjusting the value of the grid/notes. THANKS AGAIN!
  13. Thanks so much guys but... this is making me nuts. I did mess around and change settings (as instructed) but here's what's happening now: The wave forms inside the regions are now moving (as I nudge), but the regions themselves are NOT moving - very strange. I've attached two screen shots. Okay let me know what I'm doing wrong? THANK YOU chef
  14. Hello: I have scoured YouTube and found some videos which do not seem to work for what I'm hoping to learn: Using my keyboard to nudge audio regions left or right. Similar to nudging video clips in Premiere Pro with Command and arrow (left or right). Nothing I saw on YouTube (Command or Option, plus left/right arrow) works at all. IDEAS? THANK YOU!
  15. Hello: I've become spoiled using Logic drums for tracks - tons of sounds and everything isolated - my only complaint there has been "humanizing" things with the feel. As such, I had some REAL drums tracks done for a new song (13 tracks with 3 kicks, 2 snares, overheads, room etc.), love the performance BUT... there is tons of bleed on these tracks, and I'd like to separate things a bit for more control with EQ, compression etc. QUESTION: Using only Logic X plug-ins, I'm curious if there are any tips or videos on how to separate the misc. drums from each other? FYI I am messing with the noisegate plug-in, it's so-so at best (maybe I don't have the settings dialed in very well)? Let me know if YOU know, and thanks in advance. cheers chef
