  1. I have never even seen that thing, haha. Thank you for saving the day!
  2. I have used the Volt 476P without issues for months, but now a problem occurred overnight: When trying to record bass/guitar, Logic only receives silence. When I turn the gain all the way up, bits of artifacts are recorded. I can monitor what I am playing through the soundcard just fine though. When recording with microphone, everything gets recorded, and seems normal. I have tested input 1 to 4, but the problem is alike on all channels. There is nothing wrong with the cable, or instruments. What can cause this issue? Logic Pro 10.8.1 macOS 14.3.1
  3. I see. No software for this interface. Does something seem off?
  4. You are right! It worked perfectly when switching to output 1. But, it also worked when using output 2 in the I/O-plugin. So it seems it doesn't matter if I use output 1 or 2 in the I/O-plugin, even though the cable is connected from monitor out R (either output 1 or 2). Is this correct behaviour? Is there anywhere I can look up what output monitor out R is for this particular audio interface in Logic, or on the mac? Btw - output 3 will also print stuff into the coloured stem track - but only when the original stem has "Stereo out", even when the cable goes from "monitor out R" on the audio interface.
  5. The only thing connected physically to input 1 is a cable from monitor out (output 3) on the audio interface. Audio interface: Neve 88M. There is a mic/line selector, and it is set to line.
  6. Hmm, still nothing. I attached a clip to show what I am seeing if that helps. The audio that appears at the end of the clip is actually just feedback from tweaking a hardware knob. logic1.mov
  7. Thank you for helping out, David! Output 3 is cabled/routed to Input 1. When the original stem's output is set to "No output" everything is dead silent; no volume dancing on the original stem's level meter. When using the I/O plugin (set to output 3, input 1) on the original stem track, everything is also dead silent. Any clue what might be happening here?
  8. At the moment I am sending a stem to a hardware compressor, and printing it on a new track. My goal is to be able to hear the tweaked stem as I am printing it in real time. How do I set this up? The screenshot shows how it currently is routed, but when done like this I am mostly hearing the original track.
  9. It works! I cabled up "monitor out" with "input 1" (line) on the audio interface, and now the printed stem appears perfectly. But, how do I set this up so I only hear the stem that is being printed/tweaked in real time, and not the original stem?
  10. In the olden days I would just slap the I/O-plugin on the track like this in order to tweak the stem with the hardware in realtime. Can anyone pinpoint what I am doing wrong?
  11. I see. I tried putting an I/O-plugin (with channel 1 as both input and output) on the track, but only hiss comes back - so I suppose this is not the correct way of doing it?
  12. Is it possible to send a stem through the preamp/insert loop on a simple audio interface, and receive the coloured stem back into Logic? There are no outputs on this audio interface as far as I can see: Neve 88M.
  13. Aha good! Nothing else than the R8 and the Mac, other than the 500-modules in the R8. Might be worth mentioning I have been using an aggregate device lately - but the problem has occured without using the aggregate device too.
