  1. Ok, thanks I'll look those up.. I'm on 10.4, so I'm hoping they're not 'latest' features. Thanks for the tip
  2. Hi David, Thanks for the prompt response.. I did think this was the case and I extended the region borders all the way outwards and deleted the notes.. but it still persisted to behave in this manor even without notes. I've managed to figure out a workaround but, not sure why I can't just draw straight into that region.. is there a way to 'crop' the region into just the frame I am looking at?! .. or will the region always retain the history of notes ? Thanks for your help, Damian
  3. Hello! Just confused as to what I may be doing wrong to invoke such behavior, but as you might be able to see.. when I attempt to use my pencil to draw velocity.. a Line appears from the left, like a 'ghost region'... and doesn't allow me to start drawing within my selected region. (I have only 1 region selected). hmmm..
  4. Hey David, sorry about the delay... but yes, I did have Plugins included in the Undo History, and upon checking the Undo History.. there was something very odd going on, almost no events were being added to the Undo History at all.. so, I trashed the project, created a new project.. added audio files and started again. I've never had 'corrupt' project so early before... but anyway, no point chasing ghosts.. I'm back on board, thanks again!
  5. HI David, It must be the project... I checked my other machine, it's not doing it (different project) and they're the same versions of Logic, both 10.5.1, so it's just gotta be that a corruption in the project file.. but that's so strange, it was literally no more than 15 minutes old. Sorry, yes.. emotion.. gets away when there pressures on... all good now, thanks!
  6. Funny you asked... I just checked that.. it was on 100... but I just cranked it to 110... and now I might crank it down to like 10.
  7. I tried both... but the menu item 'undo' usually states the last event.. .or at least a tip of what the last event was... now when I look at the 'undo' menu item .. it has the last the event that occurred some time ago... I enabled 'last edit function to region name' ... and I can clearly see a new region I just recorded along with the 'last edit function' in it's title... but then that title is not on the 'Undo' history at all EDIT: If I didn't know any better I could swear... unless an edit occurs on the Mixer or Plugin... Logic just isn't listening / watching it at all.
  8. Hello, Having more frustration than joy with 10.5* at the moment... for some reason, the most useful feature 'Undo' seems to have taken on a new personality... it no longer is an 'explicit' undo.. it seems to work with some things rather than others... for a while I was frustrated it wouldn't allow 'plugin' undo's... but then I found an option for that allows it.. but now, I'm in the Piano Roll... I take the pencil create a note... hit 'undo' and something else is undone.. not sure what logic this serves.. no pun intended... but have they tried to make it 'cute' and I'm missing something here ?! ...because now, I'm really regretting going to 10.5.1.
  9. Unless you mentioned it elsewhere the previous link mentions how to remove the Tempo Markers.. but, this time I'm referring to actual Flex Markers.. there's a lot of people in other forums also asking how to remove Flex Markers in 'bulk' or on mass..
  10. ahh, right... so there's no avoiding these tempo markers being placed in.. which is odd, I've been working with Wavs since the mid 90s... I never even knew they had the ability to store 'tempo' information. PS. is there a sure-fire method to deleting ALL Flex Markers... this 'rubbing out with the eraser tool' method reminds me of working on an Apple Macintosh Thanks again!
  11. Ok, sorry to have to pop back up.. but the issue persists, I've 'burnt' the project... started a 'fresh', imported the audio files in... was notified of the tempo information 'available', I chose 'No', but lo and behold, those 'Tempo Markers' are now starring at me in the face... as soon as I 'enabled' the 'Flex Markers' (after grouped audio with Quantize Lock implemented).. the Tempo Markers are back ... (screenshot attached) ... now, I definitely chose 'No' to the Tempo Import... so something is very odd here
  12. I see.. Okay, well that definitely resolves the main topic, now I'm just left scratching over why I'm not getting an option about 'Tempo info'. So, I'll check my Logic on my laptop and see if that too bypasses the Tempo Import notification... if not, maybe the message is being suppressed on my other Mac. EDIT: In order to document all of this, in case someone else is following the same issue.. my laptops Logic just notified me about 'Tempo Info' for the same batch of audio files... so now, I presume the 'check box' for the Tempo dialogue window must've been checked for 'Do not show this message again'... which I believe in this case 'is NOT', however.. just because that message is 'not being shown'... it's actually a "Yes.. import Tempo information, but don't show the message.", if that's the case... all of this makes perfect sense. Thanks again David.
  13. But, if these are 'Tempo markers' does that mean these should have a direct relationship to the 'tempo track' .. because no matter how many 'Tempo Markers' are scattered throughout these audio files.. none of them appear to affect my Tempo Track at all.. the Tempo Track is flat 'static'.. from the first bar there is a 'tempo event' which is the project tempo.. but it doesn't move nor does it 'move' the tempo at any point throughout the project..
  14. That's interesting.. because I'm not getting those prompts about 'tempo information' at all. Ok, so they are indeed 'Tempo markers'?! ...in the context menu (right-click) you have to choose 'Delete Flex Marker' to delete them... so that gave me the impression they are 'Flex' related. Ok, starting to clear this up now... thanks David
  15. sure.. it's just 'click track'.. a little back-history of this project.. these 'wav' files were recorded in ProTools.. it was a 16-track reel-to-reel dump... this one track I'm working on only has 8 tracks.. but the musicians were playing to this attached 'click track', which is what I'm trying to 'lock' on to Logic's grid.. and I usually do this by using 'Flex Markers', but only recently.. like I mentioned earlier.. there's a new kind of 'marker' I haven't seen until recently.. and the regular 'eraser tool' just slides right over them without removing them... I have to literally right-click on each one and choose 'delete flex marker', this is also in an earlier screenshot. Click.wav.zip
