  1. I recently upgraded from Logic 10.4.8 to 10.7.9, and from the last version of Catalina to the last version of Monterey. When I open the environment window, I'm not seeing my synth. This would be for external midi tracks. What do I need to do to see and hear my midi tracks? I am able to hear the notes that I copied from those midi tracks and then pasted them into tracks with instruments from the library. I'm thinking it's an environment issue but I could be mistaken. Wouldn't be the first time. 😃
  2. Make sense. I didn't even realize I had provided an answer!
  3. I tried to delete my post but I couldn't. I figured it out. I was using a template that had external midi tracks. When i created a software instrument track my library was there. Is there a way to delete a post?
  4. I upgraded to Monterey from Catalina, and from Logic 10.4.9 to Logic 10.7.9. There is nothing in my library. Under the "help" option I saw there was an option to "Reinstall Sound Library." Is this what I should do?
  5. Thanks David for the tip. Sounds like a better way of editing.
  6. Yesterday I updated from 10.4.8 to 10.7.9. Have there been any changes in the scoring/notation functions that I should be aware of? Is there any written information about this? Thanks.
  7. I have upgraded my OS to Monterey from Catalina, and now my old iMovie needs an update. However, initially, iMovie had been installed from CD and thus can't be updated through the Appstore. Although I do own the initial install, Apple has been no help in letting me obtain the now necessary iMovie 10.3.3. If anyone is able and willing to help, I'm closely watching my PMs. Thanks.
  8. Thanks, David. I was unsure of splitting the region because I needed to be very accurate and the waveform was so tight, even when expanded. But I did it, and it worked out fine.
  9. I'm using a grunge el guitar loop from Logic's loop browser. I want to repeat just 1 measure a number of times. Even elongated horizontally, the wave forms are too tight to cut and loop. Can I use the marquee tool to loop without having to cut? Thanks.
  10. Yes, it's the latest. Thanks again.
  11. Thanks, David. for the information. I looked in the app store under Logic, and there's an "update" button. Will that take me to the latest version,10.7.9?
  12. I am definitely very soon upgrading to Monterey from the last version of Catalina (and on another computer the last version of Mojave) and I see from this handy chart that Monterey will not be compatible with the Logic version I have (10.4.8). Which version of Logic should I get and do I get it from the app store? Thanks.
