  1. You're welcome. Next step would be to open your system preferences > Sound > Input and see if the microphone registers on the system meters? built-in-level.png Thanks, the internal mic is definitely working. But as fate would have it, the problem cleared after yet another restart. Great news, but I can't identify any steps I took to solve the issue. So I'm kind of waiting for it to happen again... I just don't know which part of my workflow is making this happen. Pretty sure it's not the stomp or the clarret soundcard. Guessing it's come combination of my computer and logic. Thanks again for the help with this problem.
  2. Nope, no alert on this restart. I'll give this another go tomorrow. Thanks indeed for the help.
  3. Thanks - still no input detected on the built in mic. Soundcard is Clarett 2Pre. Running OSX 11.3.1
  4. Yes, I will do that thanks,....though now, as I mentioned, I have taken the HX stomp completely out of the loop and I still have the same problem- and still get the same message:
  5. Hmm, not sure — where would I do that? It works nearly all the time. It's working now (after a full restart). David, do you have any more thoughts on this issue. It's come back and a restart is not helping. As well, I went around the possibility of HX Stomp causing issues by just using the DI on my soundcard. Still the same result. THis is weird, I can't record audio anymore. After tearing my hair out, I'm now thinking my computer might be to blame (Retina 5k, 27-inch, late 2014, 4ghz i7,24 GB Ram) and am browsing apple.com for a new imac (god they're ugly!) but at the same time it's not too old..... Any thoughts gratefully received. Jeremy
  6. So maybe it's the HX stomp that needs to be authorized in your system preferences? Hmm, not sure — where would I do that? It works nearly all the time. It's working now (after a full restart).
  7. Going in to logic with the HX stomp, out with a Clarett 2Pre.
  8. David wants to see the Microphone Privacy Pane in System Preferences. Right, here it is:
  9. Can you share a screenshot so that we can see that? How to attach files to your post You can't see the screenshot above David? Or do you want another screenshot?
  10. HI all, I have been getting the attached message recently and I'm not sure why. I already have given microphone permission in the system preference. So to get recording again, I need to restart logic, and sometimes restart my whole computer. It's happened about 3 or times in the last week and I wonder if something is turned off (or on) somewhere by mistake. Anyone have a suggestion for this? Thank you!
  11. Yes, much better — thanks for the tip. Cheers Jeremy
  12. You're right it doesn't effect recording level. Just the monitoring level. I was trying to play with the compression and limiting to get closer to the final sound — but it seems that won't be possible as the latency is just too high. THanks Christian.
  13. Hello all, I have never noticed low latency mode (the orange clockface up in the control bar) affecting recording volume before... Now when I engage it, it decreases by about 10 db relative to the other instruments in the track. The reason seems to be that ozone 9 is instantiated in the track. If I turn that off then things return to normal. So, is there way for low latency mode to track at the proper volume as well as going through the mix buss? Thanks, Jeremy
