  1. Hi Atlas, thank you for your reply - yes, I did check all that - but then I sort of fixed it by reducing the buffer size. I had it set to large, which delayed everything. Strange, though, I don't think that should have happened. Happy New Year
  2. Hi there, I'm working on submitting a score for some opening credits. I've got some way into this and suddenly, after a major crash and reboot, my audio and video have gone out of sync. I wanted to try opening an older version but my backups seem to have disappeared as well. However, since the crash, the same problem has occurred on another film project. Same amount of error, video appearing later than audio. Basically my questions are: 1. How can I resync audio and video? The markers are locked and determined by scene cuts. Initially they synced up. Now all the scene cuts are a second or so late. 2. Is this an issue with my Mac? Am I asking too much of a laptop? I'm using a 2014 MacBook Pro, 16Gb ram, OS High Sierra 10.13.6, 2.5Gb Intel Core i7, a MOTU Audio Express, half a dozen external drives plus 2 SSDs. I've scored other short clips, no problems until now.
  3. Nice one, Kingery - I find that happens an awwwwwful lot ... anyway in this case, Thank you Sascha Franck, I'm still scratching my head over this as I had a recent prompt to download additional sounds, which of course I did - and find that I've got more stairs and bathrooms than I know what to do with, even if they're not exactly the ones I had before. Mysteries. I think maybe Logic are redesigning, renaming or replacing them.
  4. You say you were able to download the missing IR - you’re a step ahead, my SD library is showing up as fully installed but loads of files are still missing
  5. Hi - I know this is an old post, but since I upgraded to High Sierra and lpx 10.4.2 I get a message saying the IR utility is not installed. I have noticed there are lots and lots of useful Space Designer patches missing - I copied the preset files from my backup but I don't know where to find their IRs nor where I should copy them to. Any ideas, anyone?
  6. Hi David Nahmani, I've had the same issue since upgrading to 10.4.2. I'm attempting to reinstall but nothing is happening, nothing is showing up ... there are random presets missing. There were a load more but I dragged in my settings folder from my backup, which gave me back some of them. Lots are still missing, "file not found". Since reinstalling doesn't seem to be doing anything, any other suggestions?
  7. Thank you Robinloops - I've experienced what you're talking about too. I often flatten and recreate stacks for that reason.
  8. Thank you Atlas 007, the option-click will save me hours of frustration. Also, the stack solo problem was a temporary nonsense.
  9. Hi, I've noticed that since upgrading to 10.4.2 selecting a track no longer selects its regions. Is this a bug or is there a setting I'm not finding? The other really annoying thing is that track stack no longer solo their contents. Once again, is there a setting for this or is it a bug?
  10. Luckily it was a course assignment lol ... Yes, I have a backup, but I'd prefer a fix! Looks like a lot more CPU spikes are going on. Anyone else found this?
  11. I've just updated to High Sierra (10.13.6 from Sierra 10.12.6) and I'm pretty much insane by now. Let's leave aside the reinstallation of every single 3rd party plugin/instrument ... I'm now experiencing a HUGE number of crashes. And guess what, folks. I'm on Logic 10.4.2. Crying? I'm screaming. btw the project I'm working on is a film clip I'm scoring. Apart from the movie, there's not a huge amount of orchestration. Maybe 18 tracks. A much older, more cpu-heavy, project worked pretty well OK. No crashes. My computer is a Macbook Pro mid 2014 15" retina, which until now has been rock solid running all versions of Logic to date, with loads of VIs, plugins, audio tracks - 100 or so on mixdown - never a problem. Whaddagwaon?
  12. Humungous grovelling apologies for getting back to you sooooo late - I indexed my drive, nada. But when I made an alias (of my custom samples and instruments) at the address you suggested it worked like a charm. Thank you thank you thank you. I only find it a little strange I never needed to do that before ...
  13. Hi, I don't know if anyone else is having this problem - I keep my "custom" sampler instruments on an external drive, from where I have always been able to access them - until now (logic 10.3.1, 15" Retina Powerbook, OS Sierra 10.12.3). My songs load from the same external drive with no problems. Here's what happens: I open EXS24 and go to "edit instrument - OPEN". I select the drive, folder, etc. and see the instrument I want. After clicking it, I see it - with all its samples. But all I hear is a sine wave and when I close and reopen the edit window the sample page is blank. The instrument I've chosen doesn't appear on the list. I can see it at the bottom under "external" so it should be in the memory but when I click on that nothing happens. When making instruments I save them and also export them to the drive. Previously this worked fine. Any thoughts, anyone?
  14. Not so fast guys ... I'm getting this problem too, and the work-around isn't working around for me! I hope the bug report gets acted on kinda fast, it's happening a lot.
  15. Hi folks, does anyone know how to enable Record Capture in LPX 10.3.1? I followed advice from a probably out of date You-Tube vid which doesn't work (the one where you modify your custom transport bar). What happens is I can enable record capture in said transport bar but nothing happens when I click OK, and the second record button doesn't show up like it apparently did of old (last time I really needed it you could assign a key but that doesn't seem to be an option any more).
