  1. Sorry for the delayed response. The mouse problem went away but a new one cropped up. In the Mixer when opening up songs, now and again a few tracks are muted, not by the mute button but rather the entire track is offline so to speak. To resolve, I click the track and it comes back to life. Thoughts?
  2. Update. When I activate a plugin The pointer poofs away on the entire logic screen until I cancel the plugin.
  3. My mac mouse pointer will vanish when I go to the top of the track panel, or slide along the control bar panel and will remain a single "." until I drop back down into the heart of the program. Extremely annoying and this does not happen anywhere else in any other program, so it is a Logic bug. It started after upping to version 10.4.8. Any fixes out there. Thanks.
  4. Im running an i5 core just fine. Only rarely does a system overload occur and most of the time, since my music is all instrument recorded with only the drums being fake, it barely make a dent in CPU usage. Sometimes up to 20 tracks at a time. The more midi instruments and internal synth beats you add the more it taxes the system.
  5. I will be wiring next time I try this. Thanks.
  6. Yes I know there is latency using Bluetooth but........ Track 1 has an imported song off a CD. Track 2 is a mic'd amp > Sapphire Pro 40 interface. I play along with the song to learn it, note by note. Great fun Stereo output bus goes back to Sapphire 40 onward to monitors or head phones and everything is wonderful in the studio. Change the output to my Stereo bluetooth 30 feet away and an interesting thing crops up. While the song (track 1) plays the moment I press the space bar (on my bluetooth keyboard) without noticeable latency, track 2 has a 250ms latency making it Impossible to play along with the song. Now this all could be audio illusion, but I find it interesting that the stereo output bus, which should be sending the summed stereo signal of both tracks over bluetooth, is transmitting as if both tracks are separate bluetooth signals. Any thoughts . Thanks.
  7. Strangely enough, coming back to it after a couple other projects, all seems to be well again. Thank you Atlas007
  8. Hello everyone The latest song is a mix of midi and audio. Horns, drums, piano, guitars. I edited the song by removing a section and sliding beyond the end of the song for safe keeping, then moving the remainder of the song forward to fill the void. However when I unchecked the moved section, I had inadvertently placed it in the wrong tracks before moving them to the correct track position. Now, the horn and piano midi tracks display only the drum tracks in the workspace window. I can no longer access the horn or piano tracks for editing. The playback is fine. I did revert to a saved version days earlier but no correction. Any thoughts on how to mediate this ?
  9. Thank you for your response GJ but knocking my choice in software just ended this conversation.
  10. Sony studio monitor phones, Avantone Mix cubes, Yamaha NS-10M studio monitors. It's the difference between hearing a guitar sitting in the +20 position using Analog recording and now it's from 0 to +20 playing in that whole rang even though the software is panned to +20. Digital does not seem to pin point it with out having lots of slop around the edges. I can make all sorts of digital recordings and pin point the signals where they need to be, but when it comes to mic'ed guitars, vocals, Guitar Rig stuff it does not pin point nearly as accurate.
  11. Imagine a painting in front of you. You then paint a little red dot on the right side. That dot occupies only it's location and no more. Back in my recording days using hi end Analog board reel to reel, the string instruments would occupy a spot in the stereo spread and not bleed over into other areas off that spread. This is not holding true with Digital recording. I have been trying to find a way to fit guitars into a certain spot on the stereo spread without bleeding over across other instruments in that spread. It only seems to work in the hard left or right position. No luck so far. All percussion instruments do this very well but stringed instruments do not. I want to retain the original sound without thinning it to fit the spot. What,s the trick? Logic pro on iMac using Sapphire 40 pre
  12. The only solution I found is to turn MCU off then on and everything works great agains for a couple hours.
  13. Still stumped. I restored a backup from last year, not deleting the original, and the restored backup project has no tracks at all yet it is 187 megabytes. Nothing is hidden so what could be going on?
  14. Can I or, should I, restore the version made in 10.2 or will this screw up the recording?
