  1. Hi Im currently interfacing Sibelius to Logic x I currently have the midi outputs of sibelius running through IAC internal buss to logic x ....the VST library Im using (East West Hollywood strings) utilises different sounds on different midi channels not key switches I can send program change from sibelius so I was wondering wether someone with more skills would be able to make a scripter that converts programs change to midi channels eg. program change 1 = midi channel 1 program change 2 = midi channel 2 ???? regards, Bryce
  2. Thank Jordi your a real help I actually kinda understand this now !! ....probabbly wasn't my easiest first venture into midi programming haha
  3. Thanks Jordi ....I try that one out i thought it might be that but didn't want to tamper with your expression at fear of loosing a working version !! :/ It just seemed to be choking so ill give that new one a go and I look forward to the revised version for more not changes I really can't thank you enough .....not only have you saved me time (I would have been here for weeks figuring out what you shown me ) and or bought new dual zone pads at 100$ a piece for no reason at all....THANKS heaps Bryce
  4. so its actually C -2 that its triggering .....so Ive put the tip sound of the cymbal on that (c-2) to get around the random triggering and its pretty usable as I don't play the higher velocity (B2 CRASH SOUND) FAST so it won't really be an issue . so my FINAL question is how do I have two of these expression running to use on two different cymbal if you know how to fix the c-2 triggering I all ears too? Thanks again for your help
  5. Hi this one works perfectly and i can easily adjust the split position for the two velocity ranges and the notes in and notes out settings BUT haha It seems to be not triggering correctly as if I hit the lower velocity range 0-50 ish in a quick sixteenth manner it doesn't register ....the midi data is still going through as the monitor is seeing it ......If i use the D1-E1 settings sent me for the logic drums......I hit the snare soft it triggers snare (D1) ......HARD triggers rimshot (E1) BUT IF i play like any faster sixteenth or triplet type thing (fancy rhythm or such) it starts triggering C2 according to the monitor just before the sequencer input?
  6. you my friend are a life saver ......Cannot thank you enough !!!!
  7. Why is it that we cannot simply use the fix note pitch to change it according to value ....thats how I originally approached the idea and it never seemed to work it just simply blocked all midi data from triggering the VST
  8. The range has to be 1 to 80 because 0 velocity = Note Off. You also don't specify which note is the one that triggers the operation (you only mention velocity ranges and resulting note), but assuming it is C#2, I've attached something that does that. It's a bit tricky to achieve cleanly. J. That did it perfectly so how would i change it to another not for example G1 instead of C#2 for the trigger input and a different resulting note.....say D1 instead of D#1 ..........G1 to D1 same velocity splits? I see you have a split note on off object, two velocity split objects and a resulting object all are transformers How does each function sorry to ask for so much detail but if I understand this fully Ill be able to trouble shoot better myself in the future
  9. Wow I thank you very much ....for both of your speedy responses....this is my first post here so Im happy to be a part of this forum .....amazing help will try the attached sessions tommorow as its currently early morning here and the family doesnt appeciate drum sticks hitting rubber pads at 1am in the morning if I have trouble I will reply
  10. Hi So I have a Yamaha DTX 400k drum kit all single zone pads triggering addictive drums in logic x fine What I want to be able to do is use midi transform to enable me to switch midi midi notes at different velocity ranges (mimicking dual zone pads) eg. I hit the cymbal softly (velocity of between 0-80 and it triggers midi note c#2 then when I hit harder velocity 81-127 it triggers a different midi note d#2. this way i can trigger a softer attack cymbal hit and then a crash at heavier velocity levels I know this is doable but no matter what i do I can't seem to get logic to properly carry out the transformation on the midi data I want this to be in realtime for practice and recording ...so using the midi transform utility outside of the environment isn't an option
