  1. So... coincidence then. That's a bit bizarre. Patty they have to shut their doors though. I wonder if anyone will pick up their products.
  2. I'm assuming you're using a stereo track?? Check also that you don't have any mono plugins following it. The give away is that you should have two track meters, as opposed to one. Another thing to look for is that the track is outputting to a mono bus.
  3. Well actually Waves has another noise removal plugin specifically for voice. Clarity VX,, there's a dereverb plugin too. Great clean up quality, though it uses neural networks (AI) so comes with a lot of latency and CPU overhead. So it can't be used live.
  4. I have actually wondered whether Magix was formed out of former eMagic staff. They had the PC code and then there's the name correlation.
  5. Oh brilliant. I hardly expected it to work straight out of the box for every plugin. It really comes down to how quickly you can map them and whether it recalls the mapping for the plugin. Sounds like they've implemented that part well at least.
  6. How intuitive is, I wonder, to use with a third party channel strip like those you see from PA or Waves?!? And how intuitive is it if you have tendency to use a different channel strip for each project??
  7. The question though, is there latency when you monitor your instrument?? The delay issue might be a result to the size you've set Logic's Process Buffer Range to and/or whether you you have the Playback Pre-Roll on of off.
  8. Been waiting on something like this for a long time. But it's early days. I'd expect to see a few bugs or workflow issues. I think its will really benefit once its in the hands of many Logic users and they've all put forward their suggestions of how to better improve things. Exciting times though.
  9. In pretty much every case when you sample from a virtual instrument the sound is passing through a filter. When the samples gets loaded into the Sampler its filter might be on by default. It's been a while so I can't quite remember. If that is the case, your samples are getting an extra filter thrown on top. As a side note, something you may want to experiment is sample the synth with its filters off, take note of their settings, and attempt to replicate them in the sampler. Be aware there might be some velocity or other kind off modulation control that you'd want to replicate too. It won't be exactly the same, but leaves you more tonal flexibility in your new sample instrument. Worthwhile trying at least.
  10. Yeah nothing is ever trouble free, especially when it comes to computers and audio software. Ovox itself seems to be pretty stable, but if you want to send it midi information you have to run it as a midi controlled effect in Logic and send it audio via sidechain. This is a bit cumbersome in my opinion, but that's a Logic limitation, not Ovox. I really wish Logic would update it strips so there was no need to do this and that it would be possible to pass midi to plugins on an audio track. That really should have been implemented when Apple rebuilt Logic's mixer quite a few years back.
  11. Not the only company to collapse, under the pressure in recent times. This would be terrible news for many though.
  12. Are use sure they haven't been updated for the M class processors?? By definition Intel code shouldn't be able to run natively as it's an entirely different language/protocol. It would be beyond bizarre.
  13. That's the new upgrade for the Orchestral Tools Done instrument/library isn't it?!? That track is simple, really vibey and cinematic in a sense.
  14. Sounds to me it might be related to a latency thing as I'm fairly sure DeBreath requires a bit of "lookahead" You could test this by offsetting the automation by the same amount of latency that Logic is reporting for the plugin.
  15. Good tip man. My errors are usually spasmodic and usually go away after I select Recover. I have yet to see how it all behaves in a busy project however.
