  1. Haha Sorry. Of course it is. What was I thinking? Volume - Automation Still asleep here
  2. Are you trying to fade out the end of a song? If so there's a simple way. You don't have to convert it Click: Global tracks and check out the blue line un the "tempo" section. It works the same way as Automation so make a couple of nodes at the end of the song and drag the line the "fade out" the song If you're converting MIDI the right click and go the EXPORT as Audio that's correct. I don't know why it doesn't work for you. What kind of file do you get? AIFF ? Export it to your desktop and then drag it back in onto you project to a new track !
  3. Hi, yes sorry for not answering. I kinda lost faith in the forum for a while there and to be honest; I didn't follow this thread so I just stumbled back into it by misstake. Sorry for that but no one seemed to care There must be alot of newbies in logic pro that finds their way onto this site I hope they don't get scared away (I almost did, thinking I'd offended someone)... Anyway, to my problem. After about 50 tries I finally found a way. I connected the MONO/OUT to GuitarPort and through USB through to my MacBook. Sometimes It's the simplest solutions eh? I get the sound that I created in Line 6 VETTA untouched straight into LPX. I reset one of the guitar settings in an LPX preset so that it was cleaned from Reverb, Delay etc. It works like a dream Thanks David for reverting, if only to ask if I did find my way //LN
  4. ACTUALLY you don't (not at all ) But it isn't an easy task to learn LPX fast What I did was to look onto youtube .. this guy (Musictechhelpguy) is very good. It's alot of vids but then again it's a HUGE program Good luck LN btw I think MIXING starts at episode 59 and buses & aux are discussed in episode 66
  5. Thanks Jordi I'll try that the next time. And thanks for all your help in this matter.
  6. I didn't understand how to set channel 10 that's why I did it this way They're all set to channel 1. Don't know how to change that. Klick in event list and just write 10 over the no 1 ? (Just a wilde guess)
  7. In order to make sure LPX knew it was drums I had to make some drums with the midi If I didn't it went all Steinway on me again. But if I just made a two bar sample with eg hiHats. then Logic assumes that the file I dragged in was drums and left it drums. I then just deleted. The small section from the region that I'd made
  8. Thanks, after some testing I got it to work did join all separate tracks in the first project. Had to start the new project by not only open a drumkit but also had to enter some midi notes (any crap will do) so LPX recognized the channel as drums, THEN I could drag and drop the 1 file. It's OK. I have to split them up again in the new project but that's only 20 minutes work.
  9. I'm afraid to ask now, but can you tell me how I fix that? So they all use the same channel? Please do it step by step as I don't have any experience of DAWs whatsoever. I'm just an old (and maybee stupid) Rock guitarrist that wants to play around in my older days. So theres no way of changing this in the Events List? Which I have found now by the way Thanks for your help and patience //LN
  10. I know you did and I am sorry. I am very new to everything. I tried this, ie I dragged the file onto an existing drum track in my new project. I got 15 steinways If I want this particular MIDI that I have saved to ALLWAYS open drums, how do I go about it? That would be optimal I would love to assign MIDI 1 to drums and eg MIDI 2 (also saved) to a particular synt...
  11. hey hmmm... I'm sorry, I don't understand. A few more questions please "If there's no program change events in your MIDI files" - whats program change events? How do I make sure that the notes in MIDI file uses channel 10? and can I change the channel on the pattern I've allready have arranged? thanks for your help
  12. Hi guys maybe a very easy question but I'm totally new to LPX so bare with me. when I import a drumstack in MIDI format into logic pro they all turn into "steinway grand piano" tracks I have a drum track I want to use which is 15 different separeted tracks (kick, snare etc) but all of them no matter how I first save them, turn "steinway" on me when importing them back into logic? why is this? can someone help
  13. You can use the "eraser" for the Arrangement marker. Thought I'd put that in so ppl who search for an answer get a easy way of doing it
