" By setting up your dynamics post-fader , they don't have to work as hard, ie they're less noticable, because you've handled the worst of it with automation on the track channel."
Old thread ... Can someone help me understand this statement? Thanks
Where are you getting the sounds from? What instrument/sampler in Logic? You mention Atlanta Drum machine, what program does that belong to? I could be wrong but I don't think you have a logic initiated sampler involved. You didn't mention: UltraBeat nor EXS nor drum designer, so I think you are not approaching this from within logic. Is the Atlanta drum machine part of the software from your mk2? Are you sure you are not using that in standalone mode?
You may want to investigate your hard drive. What type is it? Have you done checks on its health? Space? Are there partitions? Are there more than 1 hard drive?
Dry Vocal -> subtractive EQ->(compress?)->widen/duplicate->(compress/limit)->efx(chorus,reverb,delay)
Just trying to understand when to duplicate/widen and if the compression stage is dupilcated before and after widening the vocal. Other thoughts are welcomed.
I liked it a lot but don't think you executed the idea as well as it should have been. I saw the vision clearly just didn't hear you live up to it. Great concept though
Thanks Eric and David . Let me clarify...
I want the track to be duplicated at the same starting position as the source track.
1. What if the source is in the middle of other tracks in the arrange?
2. What if the source is the last track In the arrange?
Do these solutions include copying the associated channel strip settings/routing?
Thanks
How is this best achieved? I want to reduce load on the system and chances of random quirky stuff happening. Do I:
1. Unplug time machine drive
or
2. Disable the time machine service (turn "off")
?
Thanks.
Did you stop trying? Lost interest? 2 YouTube searches and gave up? Unlike some, I'm interested in helping a student who shows they want to learn.
1. Have you read anything h since on the subject?techniques?
2. Have you started any logic projects to apply techniques? Love to hear examples of your attempts.
Or did you just post 2 songs by other artists and stared at your logic forum post until someone replied? Not making any other attempts on your side to achieve your "goal"?
