  1. Hay all I remember ages back i found a logic pro keyboard with the shortcuts etc written on the keys (like EditorsKeys etc) but it also had the extra command that arnt set yet in logic on it too and the big thing was that there was a download on their site that set those normally unset shortcuts to correspond with the keyboard...... but for the life of me i cant remember its name or find it on the net If anyone could help in my quest i would be extremely grateful! Thx loads everyone!
  2. Ah shame, seems silly it doesn't have it. The Batch apply using the Region inspected is probably the quickest way then unless there's a key command where I can highlight all the regions and hit the key and it will add fades at the start and nods based on a predefined setting I have set somewhere?
  3. Ive been hunting around and i can't see anything on this so im assuming not but i thought id ask anyway. Is there a way to tell logic to auto-quick-fade the edged of samples/newly created/cut ones etc to prevent clicks the same way logic does? Its annoying having to manually fade every newly cut region and using "snap to zero point" means then cutting and then having to stretch/shrink the region to fit to the time you were trying to cut too which is also an annoying thing to have to do :-/ So, hoping theres a way to tell logic to auto quick-fade edges so i don't have to do either of the above workarounds
  4. From what ive seen, Lynda.com Essential Training, MAcVidPro Xtreme Sound Design and a few other tutorials and my own experimentation im pretty sure this isnt possible, so, i thought id title the topic as "Wouldn't it be great if!........." Wouldn't it be great if we could write in flex time and also the fade/in/out but set to speed up/slow down elements in the same way we can write in any other type of automation, like volume automation etc. That would mean no jumps in the flex time segments and a LOT more creative possibilities with the speed up/slow down element (and i mean that knowing about the scissors+opt+click to separate a region into small sections then highlight them all and then setting speed up/slow down on them all that we can currently do) Imagine being able to "draw in" with a pencil and all the aspects that form of editing has for automation, but using it for flex time! Thoughts?
  5. Brilliant and Brilliant! Logic is so much better than Pro Tools heheh
  6. Hay all In my quest to kill off Pro Tools completely from my workspace im wondering if its possible to route a track/AUX in Logic to more than 1 Output? It can be done by setting it up via sends and setting the output to non but i was just curious if this was possible too? Also, is it possible to setup more than 4 send2 for a track? Thx in advance EDIT:- Meant 4 sends not 1 send hehe
  7. yeah excellent its looking great now! Cant thank you enough! Been here twice and both times got superb help! Thx loads!
  8. ah ok cool, currently its set to "With Bits" ive set it to Frames and Samples to test and that starts at 00:00:08 weirdly and then slowly goes up. at 01:18:08 the next step is 01:20:09 :-s. set With Quarter frames it now looks correct i think? the last digits are 00/0 with the first 2 being the frame and the /0 being quarters i assume? With this setting the frames increment correctly 01/0 02/0 03/0 etc yeah So, this is now showing the correct SYMPTE for the project/vid?
  9. If i set Logic to 24fps the video ends halfway through a frame which i assume Final Cut Pro X wouldn't be able to do? I dont know because im not the video editor, he may have used FCPX or Premier, im not sure.
  10. Hmm, not quite sure how to do that, do you mean:- Pref - Video - Adjustments - Video to Project?
  11. Hay Im using Logic 9 to work with a video that is said to be 23.98 fps in quicktimes inspector and im assuming that is actually 23.976 in Logic but has been rounded up, correct? Anyway, i have set Snap to Frames and 2 key commands for Forward/Rewind One Frame but pressing these keys seems to go in and out of sync going by the SMPTE Timecode. It starts at 1:00:00:00:00 but jumping up one frame goes to 1:00:00:00:79 instea of the correct 1:00:00:01:00 and this carries on such:- 1:00:00:00:00 1:00:00:00:79 1:00:00:01:79 1:00:00:02:79 1:00:00:03:79 1:00:00:04:79 1:00:00:05:79 and then the next is:- 1:00:00:07:00 and then the next five are all correct it seems at:- 1:00:00:08:00 1:00:00:09:00 1:00:00:10:00 1:00:00:11:00 1:00:00:12:00 then the next is back out saying:- 1:00:00:12:79 And this isnt a proper pattern either as sometimes it changes every 6 frames and others its every 7 frames :-s Is there any way to sort this because if not then i cannot guarantee i am syncing at an exact frame so what i export may well not line up with a pro-tools counter part Thank you for your time
  12. BRILLIANT! got it all working thx loads man you've been a great help!
