  1. Anyone ever figure this out? Just got a faderport (single fader) and the automatic plugin pop-ups are driving me nuts, they also make channel switching a laggy experience since it has to load the plugin.
  2. Yes, all my software is legally owned. An update was just released a couple days ago. I updated Omnisphere and still am having the same outcome. As I mentioned, Omni loads just fine in a fresh project without VIP going, also loads no problem in Ableton. I'll get in touch with Spectrasonics and see what's up. Thanks for the suggestions!
  3. Hi Eriksimon, Yes, it gives me more or less the same view in a different color. I managed to open up Omnisphere successfully in a blank project without VIP software (or the Akai Advance controller up and running) but even if I delete the VIP instance in an existing project I'm getting the same results as in the pictures.
  4. Hi all, I'm having an issue loading Omnisphere 2 in my Logic Pro X projects, when I create a new Software Instrument track and load up Omnisphere 2, I am greeted with a message saying "Assembling Parameters" and this generic interface: I've just began running into this issue. Also Omnisphere will load up in a wrapper such as Akai VIP or NI Komplete Kontrol, but not directly on a track. I went into Plugin Manager and did a "Reset & Rescan Selection" for the Omnisphere AU but that didn't change the situation. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  5. Hi everyone. I'm currently test driving the Eventide Anthology X bundle, specifically the Octavox Harmonizer plugin. What I would like to do is 'Play' the Voice Harmony Interval settings on the fly with keys/pads on an external MIDI controller. Example: Button 1: Set Voice 1, Interval: +3rd Button 2: Set Voice 1, Interval: +5th Button 3: Set Voice 1, Interval: +7th Etc... I have been able to automate those parameters within Logic Pro X without a problem, my inquiry is how to extract the CC data being sent to the Octavox plugin from Logic so I can then use those numbers to program a MIDI controller button. Just assigning an encoder to these parameters doesn't quite offer the functionality I'm looking for here. Image of the Plugin parameters: http://i.imgur.com/dE66jPz.png My attempts thus far to extract the data using Logic's MIDI Environment gave me the following information: F 2 24 12 My understanding is that F is Logic's Fader message - this isn't actually the CC data I'm looking for, or is it? I spent an hour attempting to output Logic's MIDI events to SNOIZE's MIDI Monitor in hopes it might give me some more information but I couldn't figure out how to route the data out of Logic. Am I on the right track here? Is what I'm trying to do here possible? I've been in touch with their plugin department and asked for MIDI documentation but I'm told nothing exists for these plugins, as they "weren't coded with support for MIDI control". I think it would be a game changer to play the Harmonies live like on a TC Helicon VoiceLive unit. Thanks for your suggestions!
  6. Ah, well that's frustrating. Thanks for the quick response David!
  7. Hi there LPH community. I recently began working my way through David's Logic Pro X book and it has been a great help. I am currently on Lesson 3 and have run into a few frustrating (what I would assume to be) bugs. The first function that did not work as described in the book was from Lesson 1 where we are instructed to change the tempo of the project while auditioning a drum loop in the Loop Browser. The book says , however when I click and drag the tempo up or down, the loop playback does not adjust dynamically (Flex?) rather it hangs for what seems like a bar or two and then jumps to the new tempo abruptly. Is this normal behavior or is there some buffer issue going on? The next piece which I have a hunch might be related is when working with the Solo Tool as described in Lesson 3, when I click and hold on a sample in the timeline using the Solo Tool, the first 250-500ms of audio is muted or skipped altogether. This occurs even when Option+Clicking the sample to start Solo playback at the beginning of the sample. Before I found and activated the "Scrubbing with audio in Tracks area" option, the length of silence was even greater and I wouldn't hear playback for a couple beats. Finally, when clicking and holding with the Solo Tool, the play head jitters and jumps around. Has anyone else experienced this issue? After doing some searching I didn't find any solutions or mentions of this problem so I apologize if it has been solved already. I have included a Screenflow of the bugs in action: https://youtu.be/wwNjq-84UM0 My system specs in my signature. Please let me know if I can offer any more information. Thank you for your help!
