  1. Hey guys, my Logic Pro X has been running very slow for as long as I can remember, and I don't know what the reason could be anymore unless I'm doing something fundamentally wrong. I used to use an iMac 13,1 with Logic Pro X 10.4.2 and I would have the same problems, but my current system is a Mac Pro 6,1, on macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 running Logic Pro 10.4.3. Despite my threads being set to 12 or auto (I've flipped between both), and my buffer size at 128-- I still get a lot of lag at all stages. Moving audio files, copying plugins-- etc. It feels like Im playing crysis at 20fps every time I complete an action. Furthermore, I have CPU overloads-- but I'm only using audio tracks in the project where I'm recording. Since my iMac, I have gotten a different interface (Scarlett 2i2 to 6i6), a different computer, a different usb for the interface, a different mic cable, and tried every setting I could think of to keep things running quickly, but it feels like my computer is just way slower than the specs should indicate, just for logic. The main cpu hog I can imagine is having stacks of vocals with autotune on but even then-- having like 5 tracks of autotuned vocals shouldnt be overloading my cpu should it? Along this line, I also get frequent clicks and pops in my audio-- which results in a lot of unwanted artifacts, but despite having changed all the gear-- I still cant seem to record popless vocals. My interface and computer are being powered from the same extension cable (so theyre the same power source) so I didn't think that'd be the issue. Completely lost, would appreciate any help-- I can post whatever screenshots / logs are needed. Thanks in advance, -- thePanthurr (Edit: Rest of gear is jus a shielded XLR cable running the Aston Origin into the Focusrite 6i6, and Mac Pro 6,1 is 6 core Xeon E5, 32gb Ram, 2 Firepro D500s, and I have a 512gb ssd of which about 20gb is free at the moment)
  2. I can't find an option inside that browser either. Shift selecting and dragging to the left doesn't seem to work... Am I missing something ._.?
  3. Hey guys, So I have either a bug or intended feature where if I copy/paste or alt drag regions that have an anchor set somewhere other than the far left of the region-- the original regions move places. Very irritating. I was wondering if there was any way to move all the anchor points to the far left of the region easily, since Strip Silence seems to choose its own anchor points every time. Any help would be VERY appreciated. Thank you for your time. Logic 10.4.2 Mac Pro 6,1
  4. I have been brought to tears by this stupid bug. I have a section of my song that is the hook. If I ever copy the hook to another portion of the song-- the original becomes completely out of time. Likewise if I were to copy the second hook to the third spot, the second hook would be out of time too. It moves every single file by a small number of samples so that theyre all out of time with eachother. Logic 10.4.1 macOS 10.13.3 iMac 13,1 Please help. Thank you.
  5. It is also worth noting that some apple midi loops as well do not change key when dragged in. Logic Pro X 10.3.2 Mac OS 10.12.5
  6. I wished that was true-- but I have been doing exactly that, and when I make a C major chord (project in C Major), drag it to the loop browser, make a new project with a different key, and drag that region in-- it is still a C Major chord regardless of the key. What am I doing wrong?
  7. Hey guys, I was hoping to set up a system where I could have, for instance, a C Major chord in my midi loop library-- and then have it auto transpose up when it finds my project is in F. That way, I could have a bunch of chords pre set and drag them in, instead of writing each individual note every time. Also, if there has anyone who has already done this, mind sharing your library with me? Thank you for your time, -- thePanthurr
  8. Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the autotune effect like from this part: I get that its the retune speed on 0 and all that. I know how to use the plugin, but it doesnt sound like normal autotune. Could you guys help me break down what the iconic effects on that part are? Thanks
  9. Is there any way to increase the ratio on the apple compressor past 30:1? I want to have a delay on a bus that only plays when the lead vocal isnt playing at all-- but 30:1 isnt enough to do that... Any ideas? Thanks.
  10. I can't for the life of me figure out what AU instrument he is using in this video. (It's the grey and red one). Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
  11. How would one go about making something that sounds like the synth @0:01 on ? It sounds like a siren almost... Any help would be appreciated. At the moment I have a pitched up 808 which sounds very wrong lol.
  12. Hello-- I am trying to expand my range of synths... And I came across a "Synth1" Audio Unit as well as a bunch of preset packs. Unfortunately-- it seems that the presets are all done in some bizarre .sy1 format instead of the audio unit preset format that is needed. Does anyone have any way of converting these for Logic's use? Would appreciate it much. Thanks! (Synth1 AU found here: http://www.geocities.jp/daichi1969/softsynth/#downmac) (Presets found here: http://blog.wavosaur.com/synth1-presets-chris-bank-volume-2/)
  13. This bug is extremely annoying-- and it makes most of my projects absolutely unusable. Anybody know why it is taking Celemony so long to fix such a critical bug?! On another note-- any idea where I can find a Logic 10.2.0? Haven't backed up in a while :/
  14. Nevermind, here is the issue I was having. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=122638 Looks like its a bug that isn't fixed. Sigh...
