  1. Interesting, this actually worked:-} App Store downloaded 10.7.9. Playback nice and clean, even brought in my saved templates.
  2. Apparently you need to move Logic out of Applications (already backed it up), restart the machine, and then the App Store with make the latest compatible version available. Trying it now and will report back.
  3. Just updated MB Pro mid-2015 from Catalina to Monterey. Can't find 10.7.6 in App Store. Thx for any help.
  4. Hello David, Thank you very much for the lightning-quick reply and solution. I deleted the mute automation and Presto, problem vanished! You should consider writing a book:-} It's a pleasure reading through your myriad fixes for the challenges of when we're working ill-Logically. Hope you're doing well and making music. Many thanks.
  5. A track switches to Mute when I move playhead by hand. Or when I hit return to start from the beginning. I've tried suggestions in Forum like opt-clicking Solo on the track. Also I've checked that no hidden tracks are soloed. I'm trying to do a bounce, but the track won't come out from muted unless I hit Solo on it. Which I can't do once Bounce starts. Gotta be missing something obvious, but can't find it. Thx for tips/insights/solutions.
  6. Using David's HTML suggestion: with Option-O (opera) produces the superscripted half-diminshed symbol of the circle with a slash. A useful place to practice is the W3schools site: https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_sup
  7. Just plain odd. Things went back to normal after rebooting the laptop. (Prior to that, restarting Logic didn't resolve the prob.) After the reboot, converted Drummer-to-MIDI regions became editable in the Piano Roll. Other odd behavior: opening another Project resulted in several tracks immediately launching into Freeze mode. I'm hoping it's not a harbinger of 10.4.5 glitchiness.
  8. I converted a Drummer region to MIDI. When I click on a note in the Piano Roll, it immediately switches to the kit editor with the ball matrix and the kit elements and I can't move or delete it. Am I missing a Preference setting? Thanks for any insights/solutions.
  9. Thanks very much for your customary quick reply and clear explanation. Even after all the revs, I'm still kinda wrestling Logic's stereoverse:-}
  10. Running 10.3.3 in Sierra 10.12.6 and I have a panning question. With the individual tracks set to either stereo or mono, I've tried using both pan balance and stereo pan. I can't individually pan tracks, only the pan button the Stereo Out channel will respond to pan changes. This is all with the Stereo Out Channel set to stereo. When I switch the Stereo Out channel to mono, the individual pan buttons work. Clearly, I'm unclear on why the Stereo channel should be set to mono. Many thanks for any explanations.
  11. I cut to the chase and did a full reset on the Apollo. Whew, things are back to normal. On a serious note, your super-fast response provided big techno-emotional comfort today:-} This forum is an awesome and valued resource. Cheers.
  12. Took a quick look at the Console with nothing jumping out so far. I'll also contact UA support. This just started occurring so possibly a factory reset of the Apollo Twin. I'll report back to this post in case anyone else encounters this behavior. Thanks again.
  13. Hi David, Working just with headphones, no live speakers. and the volume of mis-routed audio is dramatically higher than anything caused by headphone bleed. I'll look in to the Apollo Console app and see if there are any incorrect settings/routings. Thanks very much for your quick reply.
  14. Additionally, with the metronome turned off, overdubbing on a new track with the Input set to 2 somehow overlays the content of the track previously recorded with Input 2. Again, I'm hoping for some pilot error on my part, rather than hardware/software malfunction, but this is way strange.
