  1. Thanks, I have now figured it out. I installed the Avid Control Desktop on the Mac and EuControl app onto the Android tablet. However, to get it working I also had to choose to install the software for the S1 and S6 hardware even though I dont have the hardware. It then installed EuControl and xmon onto the Mac. It now works.
  2. I was wondering whether I could use an Android tablet to control Logic. I notice there is a free Avid App (for Andriod) and Avid Control Desktop for Mac. I downloaded both but can't figure it out. I'm not sure whether you need any other hardware? Anyone have any suggestions as to how to control Logic with an Android tablet?
  3. I haven't got install disks as I bought online. I would really like Yamaha SPX and Rev7 for Sound Designer.
  4. "fader 4 has Crowd, a unique CLA invention. This creates a series of increasingly longer repeats that diminish over time. It can result in a rich and lush sound, sort of like a chorus effect without the pitch smearing. There’s only one control, a slider that goes from Tight to Wide. It’s a lovely effect and a real highlight of the plugin."
  5. I updated to Logic 10.5 and OS to Catalina but I'm now having an issue with Korg MS-20 and Korg Polysix. The Korg M1 and Wavestation plugins work. The Korg software pass and Logic plugin manager are both showing each plugin as version 2.05. Logic shows 'failed validation'. I have tried rescanning a few times but it didn't work. Any idea how to get them working?
  6. Are these new sound libraries available in Logic? http://www.factmag.com/2017/11/01/apple-garageband-ios-sound-library/
  7. Can anyone recommend a good external CD drive for burning audio CDs?
  8. I opened a project and it gave the option to open an auto-saved version. I clicked to open the saved version. I now realise that I should have opened the auto-saved version. How can I get back the option to open the auto-saved version?
  9. I wasn't sure when I last did a restart, so have now done so and will see how it goes. Thanks.
  10. Yep. The problem has only started in recent weeks. I've about 50gb space available on the hard-drive.
  11. No audio interface, just a USB keyboard. Just to add... when this happens in Logic there's also no audio when trying to use iTunes etc. I only found out by chance that creating a new project in a new window in Logic solves the problem... until the next time. Perhaps creating a new project resets the core audio?
  12. Sometimes I'm working on a song in Logic and suddenly there's no sound when playing back the song. Sound returns if I create a new Logic project in a new window. I then quit that new project and continue as normal. Anyone know why this keeps happening on different Logic projects?
  13. It could be easier to just plug a midi controller into a computer via USB. If you need more USB sockets then USB hubs are very low cost. As for the other stuff, 'Mackie Big Knob Studio' might do what you want. It's a studio monitor controller & audio interface. It has connections and buttons to flick between 2 pairs of studio monitors, audio sources etc.
