1. Hi, I'm looking for a way to be able to permanently see the state of "move track automation with regions". Is it possible? Normally one alway have to check it in menu or in preferences via alt-A. Or always press a shortcut to turn it on or off... Not very efficient actually... Ideally Apple could prove a possibility to optionally add a button in toolbar, like low latency mode for example.
2. @stardustmedia Could you at least outline some bullet points? I tried to understand, when they might be useful, but finally always returned to normal midi learn assignements... actually midi learn is very well done in logic
3. Hi, is there a way to automatically exclude some plugins during mix bouncing. Let say I have some plugins on my master channel, e.g. limiter or some eq that I use for monitoring purposes only, but don't want to have them during final mix bouncing. Reaper has something like Monitoring FX, Cubase has Control Room. Anything similar for Logic? Some kind of hidden channel strip like "Prelistening" where one could put such plugins? Alex
4. this might be the new stereo pan functionality
5. Great! Thanks for this. Just wonder, if the same is possible with the Automator?
6. No, unfortunately this doesn't work as expected. Relative automation only Fader jumps back after movement. Relative automation + one automation point for absolute automation. Fader generally moves the absolute automation lane, but jumps by offset (taken from relative automation).
7. I apologize, I was not very clear on the topic. Eric, what you're describing is a second "automation lane". But I don't need an additional automation. What I want is to simulate the automation trim field, increasing or decreasing the overall level of existing automation with the mixer fader. In usual project you have some tracks with the volume automation and some without. Instead of just adjusting mixer fader you have to open automation, check if some automation is existing and if yes, use the trim field to adjust the overall volume level. Kind of cumbersome workflow for me.
8. Me and many people I know don't use volume automation, but insert a gain plugin and automate gain. The big advantage of this approach that you can use normal mixer fader (or corresponding HW controls) to adjust overall volume level during mixing. It would be great, if logic could provide a mode where mixer fader movement will adjust the overall volume automation level.
9. I would love to have the possibility to export tracks with send effects. You can do this manually of course "solo"ing individual tracks, however this is error prone and almost timely impossible for projects with 50-100+ tracks.
10. +1 Absolutely, nice redesign aka Alchemy I would also wish more synth kits, where you can easily tune your kick, adjust atack, etc. etc. Alex
11. Hi David, thanks for your answer. Probably I didn't explained this well in the first post. I'm not looking to additionally adapt volume automation. Volume automation has to stay the same. I only want to adjust overall volume level via fader (and not via trim field) Alex
