  1. You can easily use Ultrabeat to load each samples from your hard drive to each note and save your setup. Check out the pict below, power is turned on only at the highlighted area. select sample next to phase osc and click on where it says no sample loaded and load your sample. Make sure you click off the little red arrow pointing towards the noise section. It would be easier to read the manual to learn how to do this. You will get a better understanding of how to do things.
  2. The only way to sync logic with PT is thru the IAC driver. This is an old school method that works, but why go through this agony. The less complex your setup is, the more efficient your production will be.
  3. It is possible that the CPU spike problem could be a Leopard issue and hopefully it will be fixed on the 10.5.3 update.
  4. Within Logic go to preferences/audio make sure Core Audio is enabled and select Digidesign HW (003) from the Device pull down menu.
  5. Do you think this can be done through just an update? I've never realized that Quicktime supported floating point. Do you know how long ago Quicktime supported 32/64bit. Was it done through an update or did it come out with Leopard?
  6. Do you think they ever will David? Quicktime also support 64 bit audio files.
  7. Recently I tried to open a 32 bit audio file in Logic 8 and Logic did not recognize the file. I would think Logic 8 would support 32 bit Floating Point when quicktime support it. Am I missing something?
  8. One thing I realize is that the CPU indicator on the transport is showing all my 8 cores where before it was showing only one line.
  9. Professional Drummers have used it in studios in the past. Drummers always had problems hearing their kicks on headphones. So this unit attached to the drummer's seat would act as a sub woofer to the headphones and the drummers would virtually hear their kick as if it was coming out of a loudspeaker. Some drummers use to rave about it. I'm curious about the guitar platform. My subwoofer is starting to annoy the hell out of my neighbors.
  10. Not at all Ski. I was actually LMAO I just needed to know the answer to my question before the thread makes a complete U-Turn.
  11. LOL Sorry for the disturbance. I'm just used to playing on Arenas and stadiums. It's not my fault that you guys have never experienced the lack of power on huge stages. Thanks for you for your intelligent remarks.
  12. When I feel the vibration of the kick and bass it actually makes me play better. I was wondering if any of you guys used the ButtKicker before. I would like to purchase one for both bass and drums. I've heard about it a long time ago and then it faded out. Anyone?? check out the link below... http://www.thebuttkicker.com/musicians/index.htm
  13. HOLLY S**T They are so close to unmix a mix audio. This is absolutely revolutionary. I remember when midi was first introduced I use to wonder hmmm it would be nice to record audio and edit like midi. And now we are beyond that. This just prove that nothing is impossible. Damn!! that's hot. I still can't believe what I'm seeing. Can someone pinch me to make sure I'm not dreaming.
  14. Blueroom Minipods (now called Podspeakers Minipods). Used for referencing, I have several sets of them in my home too. My "real" monitors are Klein+Hummel O 300 D + O800. Nice looking studio lagerfeldt. When I first saw your Minipods, they reminded me of those B&W speakers. http://www.bowers-wilkins.com/display.aspx?infid=1729
  15. Wise choice man!! The question for me was "does the extra .4Ghz worth $1600?". So I also ended up with the 2.8Ghz. It wonderfully works. Very powerful and handles all my softsynths.
