  1. Thank you for sharing your experience with this machine. It's time for me to upgrade my Mac, and I've been hearing horror stories about the Mac Studios. This new MM looks like it could be the perfect in-between machine till the Mac Studios are upgraded or Apples drops the New Mac Pros with the M2's.
  2. Ok, so a system restart fixed it. Apologies for the impulsive post. This one got me flummoxed good! Thank you David, for the quick response, as usual!
  3. Hi all, I'm using LP 10.7.3 on Big Sur 10.6.5 and am facing a weird issue with Quick Sampler. Once I load up a sample in QS, either recorded directly or imported, I'm not able to edit the star/end markers with my mouse. Neither can I adjust the fades. And this happens across all modes. The markers are basically unresponsive. However, I can change them by entering a numeric value in the respective fields. Anybody else facing this?
  4. Totally agree. I also find this very annoying! Waiting for someone to post a solution or a workaround.
  5. PLEASE tellme this IS the cause,as I don't want to re-program all my shortcuts ONE BY ONE This is the cause, alright. Just change that one key command and you're good.
  6. That was the step I had missed. Anyway. Bug confirmed. Can you add your step by step here?: Logic Pro X Bugs & Workarounds Did that. And submitted the feedback.
  7. Application crash (and loss of active take ) when you stop playback while recording, depending on how the STOP button/Spacebar is configured. Steps to reproduce the crash: 1. Change default behaviour of STOP button from ‘STOP’ to either ‘Stop and Go to Left Locator’ or ‘Stop and Go to Last Locate Position’ 2. Reassign the Spacebar shortcut in Key Commands from ‘Play Or Stop’ to either ‘Stop and Go to Left Locator’ or ‘Stop and Go to Last Locate Position’ Once you’ve done the above, continue with the following… 3. Arm an audio track 4. Start Playback [spacebar] or [click Play] 5. Start recording while it’s playing. [R] or [click the Record button] 6. Stop Playback [spacebar] or [click the Stop button] 7. Immediate Crash and loss of active take. Workaround: 1. Toggle record (Stop Recording) BEFORE hitting Stop [before Step 6 above] 2. Do not change the default behaviour of the STOP button or Spacebar. And if you have, revert back to the default setting.
  8. That's why I reassigned the spacebar shortcut to 'Stop and go to last locate position'. So I won't have to hit Return twice.
  9. Thank you , I will submit the feedback. Did you change the default behaviour of the Spacebar in Key Commands from 'STOP/PLAY' to any of the other 2 options? Which is what I've done.
  10. Ok I've finally figured out what the EXACT bug is. There are three options for how you want the STOP button (Spacebar) to behave. (Attached Screenshot) 1. Stop 2. Stop and Go to Left Locator 3. Stop and Go to Last Locate Position If you choose any option other than Option 1, It will crash. I had changed the default Key Command for the STOP/Spacebar to be Option 3, as I always want to hear back my take immediately, and it saves me a few extra clicks. I have now changed back to the default setting and it no longer crashes. But it is very irritating to use it like this now. I hope this bug is fixed in the next update. Ps. Can somebody else also confirm this bug?
  11. Yes, I just tried. No luck. I anyway don't have any incompatible/unvalidated AUs installed.
  12. Valid question. But I can confirm that this is happening even in projects that were saved earlier, and new projects with a save path. For this example, I did not, however, choose a save path.
  13. So I was going to start a new topic and I found this thread. I have the same exact problem, hence, posting here. I can confirm that this started happening only after I updated to Logic 10.4. Haven't updated to High Sierra. I can accurately reproduce this particular crash every single time. Steps: 1.Arm an audio track 2.Press the space-bar (Play) 3.Hit record, while it's playing (quick punch) 4.When you're done, press the space-bar again (Stop) While it's recording 5.Immediate Crash You also end up losing that take. The only way to avoid the crash, once you've already hit 'record', is to hit 'record' again (toggle) BEFORE hitting stop. This crash doesn't happen if you start recording while in STOP mode. (Logic not already playing) Attaching a screen recording link for you to see. The point where Logic crashes is when I hit stop on the keyboard. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QINicpN2eFr0PXpu2GwiisqJS2Zd3LXl/view?usp=sharing
  14. Sorry if this has been covered (not in this thread at least) Now FINALLY you can perform batch fades on regions!!! Select all regions and then perform a fade by clicking and swiping in the top of any region (the 'Fade tool click region' opt needs to be on) Or you can just use the CONTOL+SHIFT modifier keys to do that. However, there seems to be a bug when you try to undo it... it only clears the fade from the first region. I guess it'll be fixed soon
