  1. This is pretty cool. I doubt you will see this, being that this place seems dead and this is an old post, but I can't figure out how to use this in my own projects. Modifying it would be cool too. I tried saving it as a patch to call up inside other projects but it's not working the same. Some routing seems to missing/didn't get saved with the patch. I'd like to understand what's going on, but it all looks pretty complex, routing wise. So here's hoping you might see this.
  2. Sorry to bump this old thread but I was wondering if this issue was ever resolved either via an NI update or some other way? It is annoying to only have 7 mono outputs. This wasn't an issue in Battery 3 which I still have and use when I don't need feature in 4 but it would be nice to just stay in 4.
  3. Good idea Mehdi. I'll get right on that.
  4. Right on guys! Thanks for the clarification Mehdi. Seems I'll talk to him today to sort this out. Again, thanks guys.
  5. Thanks for the help. I'm using the exact same plugs/settings with the same samples and the same arrangement. A learning exercise if you will. Only thing not the same is the DAW. He couldn't recall, at that moment the send amount. He says he never goes below or above that value ("50-60%") for this certain sound.
  6. Ok, a friend of mine told me to go about 50-60% Send (He uses Ableton) from my drum channel to achieve a certain sound. (Other things are involved but has nothing to do with my question) I'm just setting up parallel compression here, that's easy enough. I'm assuming his send knob reads out in percentage but he is very hard to get a hold of. So my question is, where is 50%, in other words 1/2 the signal? Does that make sense?
  7. Using my ears to adjust to taste is fine but there has to be a way to determine where 1/2 the signal is. What other purpose would the numbers have besides recalling a setting? I just need to know at what point 50% of the original signal is being sent, then I could work the rest out myself. Anyone have any ideas?
  8. The send knob goes from infinity/-95 up to +6.0. What I'm confused about is how do I determine what is, for example 50% of the signal? Would this be 0? Why doesn't it just have a % number instead? In the manual they use the term "100%" when sending the whole signal but makes no reference on what 30% would be for example. By the way, I did search but I got a million results.
  9. Sorry for the ancient bump but I have a question. Logic Pro 9 using Battery 3 set up as multi out. As a test I chose 3 samples. (kik snr hat) Left the first cell (kik) on master 2nd cell on channel 3 (snr) and 3rd cell on channel 4 (hat). 1) Why does the master channel come out on both the instrument strip and AUX 2? Why not AUX 1? 2) Why can't I rout anything from battery to AUX 1? I have to set up 4 AUX's for 3 cells? AUX 1 is lonely and pretty useless in this. Options are set up with 1 stereo and 16 mono. I know this isn't the biggest deal in the world but for the sake of staying organized I need to know these things. While I'm at it: I know I could set up some AUX channels on the arrange page corresponding to the AUX's/cells (did I say that right?) but is there a way to sequence say the snr on that track? Right now I'm using 1 track (the main Battery instrument track) for all drum parts. Thanks for your time, Jorge
  10. Just want to say a HUGE THANK YOU for this list. I'll be keeping an eye on it to see what develops.
  11. Thanks fader8. I bit the bullet and got Battery. I love it. It's so easy to use and very fast to set up. Love the drag and drop. I'm very happy with it.
  12. Thanks Arv, much appreciated. I'll be looking into it. I can deal with the price, I just have to make sure it's what I want. My main concern is speed.(as in creating drums kits quick) I hope it isn't "bloated" software.
  13. It doesn't cut off the initial transient? On that note, does Kontakt? My friend has it, he lives a bit away, so I'd like to save the drive if possible. (I can't go on his word, he is still very new to all this)
  14. So if indeed this is the case then I rather use another sampler that doesn't cut off the initial attack. Can anyone recommend one? Kontakt perhaps? Thanks
