I have two macs for two different workloads. A brand new 6 core/i5 32GB Ram mac mini and 1-year-old iMac/4 Core i7 32 GB Ram. One will be for Logic Pro X the other for VMWare Fusion Server. Either device will do VMWare just fine. But which will be superior for audio? I am replacing a 5-year-old iMac which is getting a little sluggish on bigger track counts. I am going to keep it as Virtual Instrument Platform. I have a great interface RME 802.
