  1. N!!!. Logic is a tremendous program. There are a few features that they could add/improve, but they seem disinterested in ideas from outside the bubble. I use both programs. Somethings are unquestionably better in Logic. Some are not...😅
  2. I really wish that Logic gave a pan control on the sends. That's how I do this stuff in PT. Pan guitar L and then pan the send to the delay R. And If I want I can use the same delay to do the reverse with anything else. It's an elegant gift that keeps on giving. Same with reverb and chorus. Everything... Steve
  3. I've had a couple stop working. My laptop right now will not charge from one of the ports. Not sure why, but other than that the computer is fine, so I have not taken it it for repair. I tried zapping just now, but no difference for me. Steve
  4. Make sure you're using a Thunderbolt cable and not a USB 3. Steve
  5. Ask them to implement per project send labels. That would be very helpful and it seems like it would be easy to do... Right now they are global, so it you change them, it changes the names on all of your past projects. That makes no sense. Steve
  6. I'm a Pro Tools guy, too. I miss many of the features of Pro Tools in Logic. But there is no denying that Logic is a powerful tool for making music. Sometimes there is no comparable command in Logic. It goes the other way, as well. It just is what it is. Steve
  7. I think that sag is correct on that. I know that the input will stay consistent. When you create an audio track it will default to the last selected, say input 9, or 9-10 for stereo. I think the output may respond in the same way but I'm not in front of the computer right now...
  8. Is this music or a math problem? The Seventh Heaven plug that Matt designed is pretty great! Or Reverberate 3 is even less $ and has all of the M7 presets along with lots of editing possibilities. I'd buy it and then do my automation with sends to two separate instances on Aux channels. No clipping of the tails, and no headaches. Life is too short to spend it this way! My 2 cents. Do yourself a favor, or not... Steve
  9. Next year, when you decide that you need more RAM, can you add it? The answer is no. Now is the time. If you think you may need it, you probably will in the next 7-10 years. That is the lifespan of your purchase. I would do it. Steve
  10. I think you have to have one long midi note, that lasts the whole session, or one at the beginning and one near the end. It has to "need to" calculate the tempo to figure out the tempo map if that makes any sense. Steve
  11. Sorry. I'm more of a Pro Tools expert. I love some things about Logic, others, not so much. Steve
  12. I'd call punching in punching. I mean you ARE going to have to stop the recording at some point. It's just up to me when that it. I'll try the Atlas Suggestion.
  13. You could just set the cursor where you want to punch in, and then enable the count in. I think it plays the audio during the count in, but I'm not sure. You could also use pre roll. I think these things are in the record preferences sections. What I don't like is that when I stop the transport and hit the record button, it doesn't return to your initial spot. It records from where you stopped.
  14. If those strings are magical, then tune the new tracks to them. Why not? A440 is a fairly recent standard for tuning. So if these strings are slightly off, just tune to them. Steve
