  1. By default the bar measure in Logic starts at one but sometimes I need to have the first bar two or more bars into the arrangement. This would mean the bar measure would start at bar minus 2. can this be done? The reason is I often work to a composers score which starts at bar 1 and my Logic arrangement needs a few bars "headroom" for count ins, articulation changes etc. cheers
  2. My iLok is all up to date thanks. Whole morning on phone to Apple Creative helpers and no joy yet. They need to do some research and will call Friday to carry on. Fingers crossed
  3. oops, thought you mean that you'd updated the focusrite driver and things were now working ok... No. I meant Focusrite had been updated a while back and was working fine. Less can be said about Logic at the moment. I can just about use it but the sluggishness is so painful it frustrates beyond belief and I have to calm down with a cuppa!
  4. nice! I will have to place a call with Apple to get this problem sorted. Thanks everyone for pitching in with possible solutions. You're the best
  5. Yes. The Focusrite control. That up to date and working ok. Thanks
  6. an nvram reset, and/or an smc reset didn't help? Not at all. Sadly. Maybe it's a call to Apple in the morning?
  7. My set up is OS 10.15.7, Logic 10.6.2, MacPro 2013 with 64Gb ram. All my drives are SS connected via thunderbolt Its since I went up to Catalina and upgraded Logic that the probs started.
  8. I tried pulling out all my component AUs thinking it may be one of them causing the retardation in Logic. No, exactly the same problem with all plugins removed. I didn't chuck the VST3 ones but am I right in thinking that Logic doesn't look there?
  9. Microphone setting all checked. Thanks
  10. All good on disk space front. I too warn others if that. Disk ok too. Thanks
  11. Hi All I recently upgraded from High Sierra to Catalina (10.15.7) and subsequently to latest Logic 10.6.2 but the programme, as a whole, is sooooo sluggish. For example, in the Piano Roll if I click on a note it takes up to 3-4 seconds to catch up and sound that note. Same thing if I select another note.... 4 seconds later it sounds. Trying to move notes, change velocities is a nightmare. I've also noted that in the main window I get so much spinning beach ball I'm thinking of suggesting it becomes an Olympic event - I could get bronze! This also happens with Core Audio switched off!!! Guy
  12. Hi David I’ve been struggling with lack of aux mobility for so long I really thought I was missing something! So I reached out to our fantastic forum. Glad you feel the same.
  13. Cheers, I’ll try that out. I know they get converted into tracks if you apply some automation to the buss/aux channel but I do wish Apple could implement shuffling the auxes around.
  14. When I group my instrument tracks to sensible busses I have always wanted to be able to reorder them in the mixer window rather than whatever order I created them in. Any tricks?
  15. Thanks everyone. Me and the editor have worked out what went wrong. Logic x NOT GUILTY FCP: NOT GUILTY Logic operator (me) NOT GUILTY FCP editor: GUILTY!!!!! Having sent me locked down movie to do the audio edit to (several days hard but rewarding work) she and the bloody colour grader thought it a good idea to add little shots, edit out bits, etc. No wonder my footage with full sound edit went out of sync!!!!!!!!!! They are extremely apologetic and I’m sorry for wasting forum time. Even Apple we’re getting an FCP and LPX guru to look at it. Case solved. Sack the editor X
