  4. David, Thank you for your reply! I will gladly attend the next course you have my word! Will there be a next course?
  5. Hello ladies and gents, What is the best way to learn Logic Pro x.
  6. I like the mixer tip currently I do not have one. I am looking to upgrade my interface
  7. Has anyone attended these annual classes? And if so, what was experience like? Was it easy to follow along and how valuable of a course was it to you and why?
  8. I have a scarlett 2i2. My issue is when I am recording I can't listen to the session with whoever is in the booth because there is only one headphone out. To accommodate I have been plugging my second pair of cans in the back where the monitor L & R outputs are. either L or R will suffice but I know its probably not the correct way to go about that. What could I do instead so that I can keep my monitors plugged in and also use two headphones while recording?? Please help D:
  9. my situation specifically I am full time active duty in the military (AF) and I really want to learn logic I've been devoting study time on a daily basis to learn it but only for a limited 30 mins a day. i work on average 10 hr days so dedicating time to study is a task all on it own. I much rather take leave and learn it through the five day course but i am worried about my retention of information. I feel like i would forget a lot of what we go over because i feel like it may be a cram learning session. I already have your book and its amazing. However, i would like to learn hands on ie. mentor/class environment too. Would you recommend this course for say someone who has only a basic understanding logic? By basic I mean I don't know anything about mixing/effects/workflow etc. I've made beats from an mpc and garageband but anything in logic is new to me. would someone like me still be able to follow along with course curriculum? and more importantly would I get my $$$'s worth? Im all about investing into my dreams/interests so this class you offer is a great idea. twice a year would be cooler
  10. example I have a 24 bar segment just one track open in logic and its an instrumental I made. For the first 8 bars I want the bandpass plug in to take effect. I do the automation of a gradual sweep by raising the frequency and hertz etc for that first 8 bar region and the effect sounds really cool. However upon hitting my 8 bar margin I just want the rest of the track to play normally but due to not knowing or being able to end the effect in the same levels as the track was playing on without the effect I can't obtain the original sound. And the effect is still applied throughout the whole track. (Only in a less dominant way, because some of the levels sound restored whereas a lot don't and without an actual before and after graph showing the two differences I can't manually adjust the levels back to normal) And I don't want to turn off the effect because that would be pointless. So, Is there some way where at the 8 bar mark I can literally stop the effect from playing anymore and resume the original intentions of the track while still having the effect on? I only ask because after that 8 bar effect region my sound was distorted and missing some critical low frequencies that the original sounding track should be playing. I want to know how this can be done without adding a copy of the instrumental to a second track without effects. I feel like that's too basic. And to the trained ear won't sound right upon transition after the effect.
  11. Okay so I have the bandpass filter through the Apple plug ins. I can get it to do a gradual sweep from a really low frequency and what not for a portion of the song i want it to take effect in. However i have no clue as how to "undo" the effect and resume the regular frequencies and levels of the track that I'm using the effect on. What do i need to do to achieve the normal sound?! Sorry if this makes no sense I'm new to this. About me: hey guys I'm brand new to logic and but not to mac and garageband. I have David Nahmani's newest logic pro x guide! It's awesome btw. My patience is slowly building great enough to follow it step by step for now I'm just hopping around.
