  1. Hello again people. I'm really struggling to get a nice sounding kick drum for my dance music... I have tried lots of things, layering, I just can't get my hands on that great sounding kick that I want, a lot of people have said 'use kicks from other songs' but I want to learn how to make a nice, punchy and tasty kick. But all I can come out with is garbage, music production really is a skilful thing! Can't wait to know what I'm doing... Thanks
  2. Hello, I'm back and I'm still perfecting my kick drum skills... So I have a kick drum, tuned to G (according to the creator), and I'm trying to tune it to A sharp have a few questions. 1] Is it easier and more sufficient to tune a kick from A to A sharp? 2] My kick drum (tuned to G) has it's root note, according to the analyser is at 53.00 hertz, but according to a hertz to key chart, comes out between G sharp and A. What's up here? Thanks
  3. Gee, thanks for all your help! He mentions that he had to double his 0.06 wave length because it's only 'half a wave length' + each wave in my kick is of different length, so therefore is my kick in lots of different keys? Thanks for helping this n00b learn!
  4. The key feature at the top of the project, does this help in anyway or is it just too work as a reminder?
  5. I don't get this at all... How is it half a wave length? When clearly it's only about 1/12th of the full wave length?
  6. Hello, if anyone knows Massive, how can I automate my cutoff in filter 1, with the slot being a 'Envelope 1', as I want it to fade in, with my custom envelope, but it seems to overwrite my filter 1's cutoff automation?
  7. THANKYOU! All I needed was to get rid of library and inspector!
  8. Thanks a lot, this pitch shifter is a lot better! Good job my computer doesn't suck too bad...
  9. Whenever I apply pitch shifter to a kick, especially lowering the pitch, my kick will on some be good sounding others, acceptable, some silent, some weird and they just never all sound the same...
  10. So what does the 'Selection from Sample - to sample - count' mean? I really wanted to find out how long my selection was but I can't find it... maybe these numbers can help? (broken image link removed)
  11. In Logic Pro X, I don't get to see how long the selection is (in your example 0:00:06), the new version doesn't tell you long it is...
  12. Thanks, but how does that help me decipher whether my kick is in A, B, C, D, E, F, or G?
  13. Hello, I've been using Logic Pro X for about 4 months now, and I enjoy to produce house music, but when I try to find what key my kick drum is tunes to, I get all sorts of answers, using pitch correction, and the tuner I get multiple results, unrelated too. A, C, G, G sharp, and I'm just stuck, without a clue... Thanks in advanced...
