Thanks all, after weighing all the input and considering my light soft synth and effects usage, I'm going with Triplets' refurbished 3.4 gz recommendation. Really appreciate the help and insight from everyone.

Is the i7 recommendation based on doing heavy duty multi tracks with dense forests of Mac generated synth sounds, or just generally speaking?

$1300ish. I should add that my recording is primarily my guitar and bass; with Logic drummer and some synth sounds...but nothing huge.

I'm sure this has been covered before, but I'm looking to upgrade my platform (my Macbook Pro at 2.0 gz is bumping it's head ever since I added Line 6 Helix Native to the mix). How much iMac to I need to run everything smoothly. I won't be doing anything heavier than Logic on it. Thanks
