    Hi, Logic's midi readout shows expression as CC# 4, do you know how I can change it to expression, I've tried removing all midi dater and re learning the fader control but the information still shows as foot control cc#4.

    'Foot control' shows instead of 'Expression' I've attached a screenshot.

    I'm using the faders on my Kurzweil digital piano. I'll learn modulation & expression from a Kontakt sample library and when I record it into logic, the automation information shows up as 'foot control' and 'release time'.

    Thanks for the reply, I use pro tools because I record a lot externally and pro tools seems to handle audio better in my opinion. I just wondered why a few other composers used VE Pro with Pro Tools, I couldn't understand the benefit of it.

    Thanks triplets! I thought it could be tonging on the flute? Knowing Thomas Newman's compositional process I believe this would've been a live musician, but is there anyway to achieve a similar effect through sample libraries?
