  1. You could set your track output to a bus, and then use that bus to split your signal between your processing track and room sound.
  2. Hi guys, I had a search and couldn't find anything on this, I'm hoping someone can help. Using the zoom tool to lasso a selection in the arrange page doesn't seem to zoom into the selected area anymore. It more zooms into 1 region. for example.. if I lasso the beginning of two regions with the zoom tool to check their alignment it doesn't zoom to the hi lighted area any more, instead it zooms to the upper most region. The same happens while using the marquise tool in the same way. Ill attach some pics of a selected area and what logic zooms to. Any ideas on this? Thanks! Luke What Logic Zooms to Selected area
  3. I'm having the same issue and have been looking for a solution. I think it started when I updated to 9. I thought it might have been a preference somewhere but I can't find it. Is this just the way in L9 or can I turn it off? Any takers?
  4. I just checked the site and couldn't find the update. Where did you find it?
  5. Still not sure why this happened, but I ended up copying the working hypersets to a new project as a work around. Luke
  6. I have been working on a composing template for the past couple days now, and today I began creating a bunch of hypersets for it. I currently have about 15 or so finished, but now Logic is crashing when I open some of them. All of the hypersets are in the same project, and the finished ones open fine, but there are a few empty sets that cause Logic to freeze and crash when I try to open them. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I got the message once that Logic was 'out of memory'..... I'm not sure what that means. I have tried creating a new project and importing the hypersets to it, but the same thing happens there too. Any help would be great. Luke
  7. The editor could have burned in the wrong time code, so the file might be 25, but the burn might be 30 or something. Logic does like DV better, but I haven't had too many problems with other codecs.
  8. You should double check with the editor and make sure that your FR is is set properly. Luke
  9. You could also hold option while resizing the region, which will change the tempo and no the pitch. Maybe he's referring to the sample length in bars, not seconds? Luke
  10. Thanks Chico, I'm not trained per say, just what I can learn from the Library Glad you enjoyed it. Luke
  11. Hey guys, thanks! We shot on 3 HVX200s, and It was all shot with playback on the day, so all the actions during the singing parts were folly'd. I used logic for everything (composition and sound design) and the orchestra was done with MOTU symphonic instrument. I also used Logic to print out the SATB sheets for the singers, it was my first time conducting, so it was fun. we only had 4 hours to rehearse and record the singing, so we got what we got. All in all it was a lot of fun and a very good learning experience. Luke
  12. My friends and I entered the Telus 72 hour film maker showdown in Whistler and we ended up winning. Its a musical about the staff on the mountain, and we slept on the floor in staff housing for the duration of the shoot and post work.... that place is dirty! enjoy, Luke
  13. PT 8 requires Leopard to install. I just went through that whole fiasco just to install it, I would rather have kept Tiger, Leopard doesn't agree with my system. So to summarize, I had to install an operating system I hate to run softweare I hate. Aint love grand? Luke
  14. Welcome! you would put it in.... home>library>application support>Logic>channel strip settings>instrument enjoy, Luke
