  1. I use reverb/delay in busses from instrument track. I'd like to hear reverb only when midi region is playing on the track source. How to put down reverb when the stream go over the midi region? Thanks!
  2. In sound design i usually make a sound and bounce it to keep my project as cleanest as possible. I usually delete my source track or hide them but I need to save up some cpu and ram. Can I save those track, including automation, content and plugins, for few days until I finish the project?
  3. What means when i turn off a track with the on/off button in 'configure track header'?Do i save some cpu and ram? Thanks!
  4. Making a track, i usually need to layer samples, like percussions because i don't like to get crazy to find the perfect sample. But if i layer them in the project it might be wasteful... do you usually open an other project to create your layered sample, while you're working on the main track? Or other ideas to come up with working on the main project and create layered samples?
  5. Yes, i need to reinstall Logic library! Years ago i deleted manually Logic's and GarageBand library and now i'd like to have back it!
  6. Hi, I need to remove and reinstall logic pro x. I'm going to save: program settings, keyboard shortcuts, plugins and vst, channel strips settings, external plugin presets. Any other thing to save? How can i save the settings of the application, like buffer size ecc?
  7. Of course yes my problem is how to uninstall them
  8. How working with Logic's Sound Library? Some patches are incomplete, and I need to reinstall them, and I'd like to delete other ones...how to manage with? Thanks!
  9. You're saving some CPU but you're also still using some CPU and HD resrouces to stream audio data from your hard drive. Even if the track is muted. When muting regions, you're using no CPU or HD resources at all for that track. Fine, i can be satisfied. Thanks guys
  10. If you mute the regions on the track then you're saving all CPU & HD resources normally required to play that track. To mute the regions, select them all (click the track header when cycle mode is off), and press Control-M (or click them with the Mute tool). At the moment i'm turning off plugins and vst, not the midi/audio regions. Nothing saved in ram/cpu? However My problem's not the RAM, it can be CPU usage and HD (i'm on hdd 5400rpm, not SSD unluckily...) so i'm thinking: my problem is cpu...if i mute tracks, do it use the same cpu power?
  11. Using a channel strip is a brilliant idea but the problem is where can i put the MIDI file? Exporting Midi is really time consuming! For instance: i need to bounce a Kontakt guitar for my project, but if i have to make changes because I realized that i was wrong, where can i get my midi file back, once i've deleted the instrumental track and keeping only channel strip?
  12. I usually work bouncing instrument track to save some cpu and ram, when they sound ok. But i'd like to keep the original version of 'instrumental vst track' of my bounced audio file. How to do this saving more cpu and ram as possible? When you hide and mute a track, how much resources do you save? Is there any better way to do this? Thanks!
  13. Hello! I've an iMac 21.5 Late 2012 (OS X 10.11.1) and I use Logic Pro 9 and X to make music. I usually work with heavy projects. Logic Pro X works well (yes, it sometimes need to exit, or it appear Overload Error when playback is on) but in Logic Pro 9 the situation is really bad...when I open big projects the program usually crash after 5' or less time and return this error "Logic Pro has unexpected quit. The current project has been saved as [...]". Plugin often crash and they aren't loaded on the sistem ("Failed to load plugin" error), and else the arrange view lags a lot, I mean when i move the mouse and the tracks of the project, graphic interface has bugs! I tried to freeze track to save RAM and CPU. the program works better but in every case it crash after 5-10'... I have already put the Buffer Size in 1024 ms dimension... Why Logic 9 works bad? Because of the memory (2x4 DDR3 1600 mhz)? Or because of hard disk (5400-rpm)? Or because of software? How can i solve it? Thanks a lot guy!
