  1. Im working with the MIDI to Plugin Parameter script and using velocity to trigger changes in the controls on Reveal Spire synth. Works great ! Is it possible to change the Target values from Min and Max to random or a probability/seed percentage ? Basically Im trying to make a patch randomizer. Seems like this script will work great. I changed the number of targets from 4 to 128. Learning the plugin parameters for the targets is simple. So far Ive been setting up about 10 parameter targets on Spire, playing notes at different velocity and when something interesting comes up I turn off the scripter and save the synth patch. Setting min/max values for the targets and inverting them is working well but I would like to add a random menu item. I made two scripter presets using about 40 Spire parameters each. Oscillator settings, unison and filter mainly. One uses note as the trigger and the other uses velocity. MIDI to Plugin Parameter Randomize Spire Note and Velocity.zip
  2. Im running PB9 on my test machine and have sound flower running. If there is an error go ahead and reboot then make sure to check the "allow" tab in system preferences/security and privacy. Soundflowerbed loads fine also. Aunetsend and aunetreceive work again ! The only 3rd party plugin Ive tried so far is AAS Tassman which is fine with the plugin and standalone and odd since on the 10.9 machine it lists as a 32 bit app.
  3. Under El Cap and LPX 10.3.1 I will use AuNetReceive as a midi instrument and AuNetSend as an effect on an audio channel. On the midi track I can use the new 10.3 midi control of effects. Its a fun workaround until the feature is added to audio tracks at some point. The last try at Sierra 10.12.4 the au net send/rx would not connect. Some research showed other reports of them not working in sierra yet. Any help appreciated if anyone is running 10.12.5 to test.
  4. Id like to route the LPX i/o plug to GargeBand (v4, pluggo jr) and back as an effects host. Im trying Soundflower and Audio Hijack.
  5. Are any of LPX's processes being offloaded to the GPU with metal ?
  6. I'll have my 15" 2014 2.2/16gb/256gb with integrated iris pro (5200?) sometime next month. I'd like to hear from anyone using this machine especially opinions/benchmarks on how much if at all the integrated vs dedicated gpu might slow down gui redraw on LPX. Any notable problems with the machine in general ? Seemed a decent deal at 1350 + 50 for a 30 day warranty (area pawn) On average a 2012 / 2013 15" rmbp is about that +/- on craigs/mac of all trades, owc used listing.
  7. Plugin Alliance/UAD Millenias, Elysia series, Verigo VSC/VSM for realism, clean ui. The Sinevibes series are nice.
  8. MainStage is starting now after the most recent 10.12 beta update.
  9. Same here with MainStage. I had successful instals and first runs of some various license managers but did not make any transfers from the main daw (MBP 10.11.5). So far no problems installing and opening managers for ilok, elicenser, waves central and Arturia software center. With the Arturia I did go ahead and add one license for Wurli V which opens and runs fine in LPX. Next Ill run the UAD satellite installer (although no firewire on the 09 MB). As far as the 09 white unibody performance with 4gb ram Im surprised there doesn't seem to be any noticeable wear on the system. I think it is at or near the bottom of the Sierra compatibility list
  10. Running the current public beta on my second mac, an 09 white unibody, I have NI Kore player synth and effect (v 2.1.4) working in LPX 10.2.4.
  11. In the end I am opting to use the extra bay as a storage drive. I picked up two Samsung 850 EVO 250 gb drives. I tried the raid0 setup with 32k block size on OS X 10.9.5 and Black Magic Disk Speed showed 900 mbs +/- on both read and write.
  12. Im trying out a RAID 0 with two 120 GB SSDs. Ive tried the 32k and currently the 64k block sizes when building the raid in disk utility (10.9.5) and am getting about the same results in the Black Magic Disk Speed app showing 350 mb sec write and 740 mb sec read.
  13. Ive had no noticeable problems with the current beta. Early 2011 MBP 2.0 i7 16GB Crucial BX100 256 SSD
