Hi, I've managed to get VMPK virtual MIDI piano working with logic pro x (by using the qwerty keyboard to play notes using virtual instruments). The only problem I'm facing is that I need to switch the focus to VMPK every time I wish to use it. Is there a way to have VMPK running in the background with my focus within logic pro x playing back the notes? (so that I can assign unused keys to record/pause/play etc. and work from one view without having to switch back and forth between views?) Here is what things look like in my environment view: I'm guessing I have to make the required changes in there. Thanks

I have requested this feature twice I will be abandoning Logic for Cubase in the near future if this feature is not implemented as I am working with larger templates now and buying another machine plus Vienna Ensemble Pro is not cost effective - it is overkill for my requirements. Good luck all.

Hi, Is there a hotkey to set an instrument to 'No Plug-in'? It's getting cumbersome to keep click dragging on the up/down arrow to the right of the blue East West Play instance button and selecting 'No Plug-In'. On another note, will Logic ever include an option to unload 3rd party VSTis from RAM like cubase and digital performer have or is the code base (or OSX even) too unmanageable to do this? Thanks

Please Apple need to implement this feature! DP does it wonderfully. You can have all the sample libraries you own in one project and have them ready to be loaded up in a moments notice.

Did you manage to work out a fix for this? I'm stuck with the same problem.... It seems to trim a tiny amount off the end and place it before the start point in the resultant wav file.

Changing it from Off back to inst1 seems to hang logic. Am i doing something wrong? I've been testing out digital performer which makes this a breeze but i prefer logic's midi editing so if i can do this in logic id rather stick with it. This happens when using both Kontakt or Play

David, How do you change the Channel parameter? it's set to 'inst 1' and it is greyed out... thanks

Thanks David! I just checked the Digital Performer demo and it was so easy to do what i mentioned above and with the power button.
