  1. Oh, sorry! The picture didn't appear on my screen immediately. Thank you! Now it's very clear Best, Trumilum
  2. Thank you David, Then I misunderstood you. Of course we should be careful with terminology. How would you be able to output from the "output area" into more than one bus? Best, Trumilum
  3. Hi David, After you create the new master: why do you create even once more a new bus? Why not just create the two sends (buses you call them) on the new master (post fader) to the two auxes? I guess you then mean that you put the Klopfgeist on only the first one of these last aux tracks (outputing to 1-2) and let the second one be just music (outputing to 3-4). What do you mean: my solution doesn't involve sends. You may call them buses, but the only way to send from channel into two new channels is from the "sends area" of the mixer, right? Best, Trumilum
  4. Hi David and thank you for your suberb response, as always. What would be the benefit of having the sends on a separate last individual bus? Why not just put the sends on the first newly masterbus created? Unfortunately, this is not the ideal way that I would like to mess up my session by doing. But I absolutely get that it's obvious that you're not able to put sends or route the output from the last output 1-2. I often put plug ins on the very last output 1-2, maybe that's a bad habit. Do you always leave that one untouched? Btw, I guess these type of routing setups is clearly better to do in the sound cards software, for sure (which I'd done succesfully, but didn't realize it fully solved what I needed). Best, Trumilum
  5. Hello friends, I have a large project with tempo changes, a lot of plugins on the master channel (where there is no sends or assignment options since: it's the master fader!) and I'm going to play live to the music by hitting play in Logic. What's the easiest and most reliable way to set up a parallel stereo headphone channel with the exact stream of the master channel PLUS Logic's Klopfgeist click. I've added an additional stereo Output 3-4 in Logic which is receiving ONLY the click (receiving from Klopfgeist channel). I've a master fader with plug ins which is receiving all music only. What I want: Main stereo out -> PA system (no click!) JUST MUSIC Headphones + click -> Live Musician on stage with headphones, needing MUSIC + CLICK TRACK I would like to NOT set up a bus on every channel and send to a separate new empty headphone output channel. I would then miss all processing plug ins that take place on the master fader since I'm not able to send from the master fader. Please, correct me if I'm assuming something wrong. I'm using a RME Babyface with the Total Mix software, so plenty of routing options. Thanks in advance
  6. Thanks triplets, I went for a Seagate Barracuda (2016) 2TB 64 MB cache 3.5" HDD (ST2000DM006) which I fitted into the iMac 27" late 2012. I ran into the thermal sensor/spinning fan issue because the original Apple HDD has a special firmware for the 27" late 2012. On the new hard drive it's not there, of course (even if the original is also a Seagate Barracuda). I can deal with that using Mac Fan Control, and I hardly think it will be any heat issue for the HDD temperature since there is only one fan on the whole iMac. I also know that there exists an OWC adapter for like $40 that you can put between the SATA cable and the HDD that solves this, but I haven't ordered that. Very strange that the 500 GB Momentus 5.6 5200 rpm that I put in temporarily before did not make the fan spinning at maximum because of the absent thermal sensor. And the worst (!) problem: The new Seagate makes noise (almost like a fan or from a room radiator) which was not the case with the original Apple 1TB that came with the iMac (Seagate Barracuda as well). It's the motor and the vibrations that make it noisy, because when it goes into sleep mode, what is left is only the barely audible sound of the computer fan. Anyone who has successfully made a good sound isolation with a noisy HDD in an iMac, or anyone having some other brilliant idea or suggestion? Thanks, Trumilum
  7. Thank you triplets, I just recognized that the internal 1 TB HD spindrive actually is faulty. It would sometimes disappear in finder and in disc utility, and the computer would get stuck when rebooting. I temporarily swapped it with an old 5400 rpm 500 GB for now, but what to put in there for the future? So my question is now a little more specific: What to put in the internal storage HD slot in this computer. Two alternatives: a) a big 2 or 4 TB 3.5" HD b) go for 500GB or 1 TB SSD c) any smart solution, maybe go external all together? How much does Logic X really benefit from having your audio files of your big projects (but not really a super extreme number of audio tracks, and not working with film/movie) on SSD, instead of a modern spinning 7200 RPM drive? Someone stated earlier that, for example, that editing transients was a lot snappier and faster on SSD when working with multiple audio tracks (like drums). Pros and cons... anybody

  9. Hello, I have an iMac 27" i7 3.4 Ghz late 2012 with an proprietary SSD 121 GB (!) and a 1 TB seagate 7200 rpm spindrive. You can use it in a fusion drive configuration, but I'm not. The computer has two Thunderbolts and four USB 3.0. It's not really affordable to upgrade the SSD since it is a 7 pin proprietary SSD and swapping the 1 TB spindisk would have me to deal with the fan issue/firmware that comes with this computer for the secondary drive. What would be the best way to use it with Logic, specifically the SSD/HD's? One way would be to use the spindrive for Logic projects and keep the SSD "clean" with more or less just the OS. That might of course not be the way for optimal performance. Another would be to add external SSD's on the USB 3.0 of course. Is anyone using a similar computer/configuration and came up with the perfect solution? Or can I get some general super nice tips from you regarding how to setup and run Logic with the hard drives for optimal performance/value? Thanks so much in advance! Best, Trumilum

  11. No problem at all broza2broza! I actually had to use "Select all following of Same Track/Pitch" to get it working. Otherwise it copies all tempo data and midi tracks as well and mess things up when you paste. Super nice that you could help me out and save my day! Take care. All the best. /Trumilum
  12. Very good advice. But there are hundreds of time signature changes in this big project and I can't find a way of copying them except Shift + Clicking every single one of them (together with the danger of slipping and dragging them out of place). Sorry for having these really specific demands
  13. Hello broza2broza, Thank you very much for your advice. Seems to be a very good solution! I can Set new, Duplicate set, Rename set and Delete set in the drop down meny in my version of Logic X 10.2.2. But how do you copy the original time signature set into the new one?
  14. Sorry David, but I'm not getting it to work out. I only manage to do 2/4 from bar 25 'til bar 50 (now called bar 75 since the bar number is dubbled because of 2/4 instead of 4/4) which needs to be 3/4. Maybe I could live with this if it wasn't for the need to write a proper score. Could you open the attached project? Thanks in advance.
  15. Here comes the attached project called LogicProHelp 1700912. I want to make bar 25 an 2/4 Then 4/4 all the way to the last part of bar 49 which needs to be an 2/4 Bar 50 needs to be 3/4 Bar 51 and 65 needs to be 4/4 And from there everything needs to be as it is written time signature-wise in the project. Thank you very much in advance! LogicProHelp 1700912.zip
