  1. Using waves plugins by any chance?? Worst offenders are CLA collection, Kramer Pie, V collection ..:
  2. I once did a lot of work with a very famous legacy band who's recordings were all made at 96k. I had to convert to 44.1 to be able to work on it, when I was done I just exported it all out at 96k. No one noticed...
  3. I never use anything other than 44.1 Higher sample rates in my experience just make everything slower, less manageable with no audible increase in quality....
  4. You should, it's a great program! But it's still good practice to use the above method and work out exact tempos for your loops. It saves you a headache down the line I promise !
  5. Wishi could find a solution for this too. Also wish there was a free mode!!
  6. This is what I said... Adding a gain plugin to turn UP the master volume is a good work around to get you into the habit of mixing at sensible levels.
  7. Ah yes, what he said! You can even do this within the takes folder if you are super lazy (clicking comp button changes to scissors for traditional style editing)
  8. Click on the track you are talking about, then deselect all regions. Check the quantisation box on the top left, this will likely be set to something other than off.
  9. Good old logic 8 cracks If the loops are approximate tempos as you say, this is your first blunder. In the sample editor you need to get it seamlessly looping first. When you've done than you can use logics adjust tempo by region and locators (something like that) and logic will set the exact tempo. Then you can use the time and pitch machine to match to the other one (once you have performed the above task to the other loop as well) Sounds like you're new to the game. Just keep at it....
  10. Turning down the output is a quick fix, but a terrible habit and and even harder one to kick. I f***ing hate logics meters/faders. I'm actually going to customise mine so the go into the red way earlier. The next mix you do, add a gain plugin on your master and turn it UP 6db. Then mix as you usually do, and keep the master Meter in the green without adjusting the fader. It's generally also a bad idea to have your "mastering chain" on your mix bus. Sure we are all guilty of this, but it's another bad habit.... Try out the dynameter plugin, really helps give a good visual tool when you are mixing.
  11. This is a bug for sure. Delay compensation is meant to align everything. The deeper I dig the more I find logic has many bugs with delay compensation. It's causing my system to print audio early. And I have also had the same problem you are having, not just with isotope. Bouncing in place you can see the difference between the waveforms from the PDC. Annoying as f***
  12. Don't think so... The shuffle modes may help you piece together the composite quickly, but why don't you just record the whole thing without looping and thus everything is where it should be... Seems rather backwards what you are doing !
  13. Hey ya'll. Looking for the best Logic Pro keyboard. Far as I can see, logic cafe and host keys both do one. I like the look of the logic cafe one the best, but it changes all the defaults... But the way it groups the keys together is neat. Is there a cheaper way of doing this besides the rubber cover (ew)... I was wondering if there is a website that prints custom key labels onto sticky vinyl or something? I could just print my own! Or s 3D printing service? The custom keyboards cost almost 100 quid! Seems a waste of money when I already have a keyboard...
  14. This is still happening... I'm planning a full system re install soon to see if I can rectify this. How is El Capitan these days? Good to go?
