  1. Quick Update...3 years on...2 version s of Logic Later....Problem still exists in Logic 10.6.2 Interestingly when converted in to a Kontakt instrument using Kontakt 4 the round robin release triggers are there and functioning correctly. Come on Apple!
  2. Hi there, I have just noticed this problem with the EXS24 in the 10.4.1 update. The function to select a group by previous played group, otherwise referred to as "round robin" is woking as usual but is no longer functioning on key release. Only the first group is played repeatedly, despite being set up to cycle through several groups. I have checked the functionality in Logic 9 and it is working correctly, with all my previously created instruments and even with instruments created today in Logic 10.4.1. Can anyone else confirm this issue and/or suggest a solution? This is a pretty specific issue that may have been happening for a while but I have only just noticed it on the Logic 10.4.1 update. Just to be clear key down round robins work fine, it is just round robins on key release triggers that are not working. I have attached an example instrument and samples .zip. Thanks in advance, Ashley P.S. Just resubmitting this question to see if anyone has had a chance to look at it. 4x round robins triggered on key down and key release example.zip
  3. Thanks everyone for your input, and thank you Eric for your workaround suggestion. I have set up key command where my rewind key is ( with additional modifiers ) to rewind to 0 1 1 1 which feels very much like what I was used to ;^) I do remember getting in to all sorts of ( buggy ) difficulty if I used capture last take and had accidentally played anything before 1 1 1 1. This has definitely sorted that problem out. Thanks again!
  4. Hi David, Thanks for getting back to me. That is the default setting for a new project and my autoload template is set the same. I have made a screen recording of my old laptop still on LPX 10.2.4 and the new computer on LPX 10.3.2 Here is the link: https://we.tl/66DRjVQsG8 You can see from the videos that the 10.3.2 version cannot rewind before bar 1 despite being set the same as the older version. I have searched everywhere for a command or setting related to this but with no luck at all. Any other thoughts? Ashley
  5. Hi there, I have recently upgraded from Logic 10.2.4 to Logic 10.3.2. In all previous versions of Logic, in Synchronisation, I was able to set bar position 1.1.1.1 to play from SMPTE position 01:0:0:0:0 ( play from 1 hour ) this would allow me to rewind before bar 1 and play from there. I used this as a count in ( of as many bars as I liked ) and then used the capture last take function. I am unable to do this in Logic 10.3.2 . Has the ability to do this been removed or is there a setting somewhere that I am missing. Thanks in advance, Ashley
  6. Hi Eric, I'm surprise that a function has been implemented with no additional documentation to explain its function or how to use it. I've have had another go and have managed to hear it working which is an improvement. There does appear to be other processing going on that I can't see how to access. I tried loading my own voice in to the Audio File Tail of the factory Steinway Piano 2 and it sounds like there is some sort of time stretching, pitch shifting or heavy filtering going on but with no way of changing or editing it. Without any documentation this function appears to be a very strange beast indeed. Many thanks Ash
  7. Hi Eric, Thanks for your response. That makes some sense, but I'm still not understanding how to use it. Could you direct me to any documentation on its use? The LPX help/manual doesn't expand on this at all as far as I can see. It does still sound to me like it would be a great way of assigning a release key to a specific sample. Do you know if that is a possible/intended use for this function or do release keys still have to be assigned in the Group edit page? Thanks again, Ashley
  8. Hello. I have come across a heading/option in the zone edit page of the EXS24 called Audio File Tail. I don't know how long it has been there but it sounds really useful. I have searched the manual, web and this forum for any information on what it is/does or how to use it but can't seem to find any reference to it anywhere. All efforts to try and make it do something have been unsuccessful. I have found new EXS instruments that paper to be using it, but can't hear what?!?! I am presuming it is some sort of additional release key option, which would be amazing, but just can't see how to use it. Is there anyone there who could shed any sort of light on to this option and its function. Many thanks in advance, Ash OS X Yosemite 10.10.5, Logic 10.2.2.
