  1. Very cool trick! I noticed that when I would extend my Marquee selection to tracks above or below, the highlighted area would change as I scrolled. But I realized you don't have to drag the Marquee selection. You can just Shift+Click where you want it to end up. For example: I have multiple tracks. I make a selection on one of them with my marquee tool (say, from bars 1-4). Now, I Shift+Click on the track I want to extend the selection to. Instantly, the Marquee selection will appear as if you dragged it the whole way. Except, by doing it this way, you don't have to worry being precise or re-aligning your selection. NOTE: You MUST click within the borders of the original Marquee selection (between bars 1-4) or it won't work. I've also noticed that you can remove individual tracks from your Marquee selection. Once you have a few tracks selected, while holding Shift, you can click on any tracks Marquee selection and it will de-select just that section.
  2. I have the same problem. And, I highly doubt the problem was the OP's hearing. I definitely don't think she influenced both of them them, although there is a remote possibility. However, if in fact, you read the thread, from beginning to the end, it seems more likely that she was influenced by Dave's suggestion, that she had perhaps altered their perception and that her hearing was the culprit! That means a mix engineer with presumably "bad ears" was able to convince two other musician's, who rely on their ears for their art, that they heard what someone with bad ears was hearing. And she hasn't reported any hearing issues outside of her studio. Seems a little far-fetched when you think about it... But, I've also got empirical evidence proving that it wasn't her hearing. Or, at the very least, that my hearing is fine. Since I am experiencing the exact same problem, and since I've also considered the unlikely possibility of phase cancellation ( in a room that I've worked for over five years in, and am very familiar with) I decided to test this problem with headphones instead. Alas, the problem persisted. Suddenly, I was convinced that my hearing was going. It was a frightening moment. My dreams were dying before my very ears. I was heartbroken. But then I flipped the headphones around and the right ear was louder. DREAM; BACK ON! Unfortunately, my brief moment of relief was quickly replaced with frustration for my still-persisting, and clearly louder Left Output. Has anyone actually solved this problem yet?
  3. I FIGURED OUT HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM ON MY COMPUTER! (My trouble started when Logic kept re-scanning a few of my plugins every time I started it, so I created a new user account, and fixed that problem while simultaneously creating this one.) This is how I fixed the problem: 1. Right-click on the file I was originally working on (the .logicx file) 2. Clicked the "Get Info" function. 3. Clicked the lock (typed in admin password). 4. Clicked the + button to add my new User account. 5/ Finally, I added Read & Write permissions for "everyone" for "staff" and for my new User account. I also did this for my external drive and the folder that my song was originally saved in. (You may not need to go to that extent, but I tried those things before changing the permissions on my .logicx file, so you might be able to save some time. I also don't know if I needed to add "staff" or "everyone" but I did, and it's working.) NOTE: Previous to all of this, I used Disk Utility to repair permissions on my external hard drive, but that didn't do anything. So I didn't include it in the directions. But if all else fails, it can't hurt to try it. I hope this helps someone. It took me a long time to type. And like someone said earlier in this dinosaur of a thread... time is money Peace! -LifeWhyz [WGS]
  4. Nobody knows how to fix this? Maybe it is a bug...?
  5. As the Title states, when I add an underline to my text in Logic's Note Pad, it's the wrong color. Tried: Right-click > Styles. Doing this, I was able to get the color to change, but only once. And to the wrong color. I wasn't going to put this into the Bugs section, because I thought it was an operator error. However, it's not. And even if the error was my own, the procedure it not straight-forward enough for the average user. Any help is Greatly Appreciated!!! I've included a screenshot. The trouble area is the word "INSTRUMENTS," written in yellow, with a cyan underline:
  6. Dude, I know this post is over 7 years old. But I was looking for a new way to record my computer's output into Logic, and I found ShiverMeTimbers response to the OP. That was probably one of the most brown-nosed white-knighting posts I've ever read. You had no idea how to accomplish the task, so you blasted him for a legitimate request by citing non-existent rules from "other forums". That means the very nature of your response was to say: "I don't know how to do what you're asking, and I don't think the Mods know how to do their job". Guess what pal... it doesn't matter what YOU think that Admin's should do. If you don't like it, go build your own website. But don't sit around here staring into mid-space, telling people what rules you think we should and shouldn't have. If you can't answer the question, mind your business.
  7. Yes sir!! Must have left a mono plug when I made this latest template. I have no idea why I put a mono plug on my stereo bus. But anyway, thank you man.
  8. Lately I've noticed that I'm having trouble panning anything recorded in mono. I'm running LPX on a Macbook pro routed through a Presonus Firestudio project into a Presonus Monitor Station v2 which outputs to a set of KRK's and a set of Yamaha's. I've checked my signal flow and everything appears to be set up fine. However, after messing around for a while I discovered that the ONLY way to pan my tracks (whether they're in mono or stereo) is to separate my main out into mono channels. I've tried using the direction mixer. I've tried tinkering with the Universal Control settings. I've bounced tracks down and I've also tried exporting files and brought them into new sessions. Nothing. I've listened to both the Presonus and Built-In output on headphones. Nothing seems to help other than splitting my Stereo bus which I really don't want to do. And for the record, my mono button is NOT engaged on the Monitor Station. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you in advance. -LW
