I have the same problem.
And, I highly doubt the problem was the OP's hearing. I definitely don't think she influenced both of them them, although there is a remote possibility. However, if in fact, you read the thread, from beginning to the end, it seems more likely that she was influenced by Dave's suggestion, that she had perhaps altered their perception and that her hearing was the culprit!
That means a mix engineer with presumably "bad ears" was able to convince two other musician's, who rely on their ears for their art, that they heard what someone with bad ears was hearing.
And she hasn't reported any hearing issues outside of her studio.
Seems a little far-fetched when you think about it...
But, I've also got empirical evidence proving that it wasn't her hearing. Or, at the very least, that my hearing is fine. Since I am experiencing the exact same problem, and since I've also considered the unlikely possibility of phase cancellation ( in a room that I've worked for over five years in, and am very familiar with) I decided to test this problem with headphones instead. Alas, the problem persisted. Suddenly, I was convinced that my hearing was going. It was a frightening moment. My dreams were dying before my very ears. I was heartbroken. But then I flipped the headphones around and the right ear was louder.
DREAM; BACK ON!
Unfortunately, my brief moment of relief was quickly replaced with frustration for my still-persisting, and clearly louder Left Output.
Has anyone actually solved this problem yet?
