  1. I'm afraid this doesn't work, and I've tried it several times, this is a longstanding problem. We're now on 10.2.3 and it's still an issue. I'm using a Focusrite Control 2802 on the Mackie HUI protocol. When the session is empty ie no plugins the automation seems to work as expected. As soon as you've got any plugins on a track/buss then it becomes unusable in Touch/Latch mode..
  2. I've tried this many times and unfortunately no fix at all for me. Are you using the Mackie HUI protocol? All I really want to do is make basic fader moves in Touch or Latch, and this hasn't been possible for over a year now due to this problem. I just downloaded the ProTools demo to test it out and everything is working fine there. I've been considering making the jump in the studio for a while so if it isn't fixed in the next update I may be forced to start mixing in another DAW.
  3. I've also clean installed entire system and it's reared it's ugly head again. Gutted.
  4. Bumping this as I'm still having this problem in Logic 10.3!! I can't work out the pattern as to what's causing it. It's usually after a save or core audio reset. If it happens to one plugin, it'll happen to at least 2-5/6. I've seen it happen to stock logic plugins, Slate, UAD, Fab filter.. It looks like there is no main offender to be honest, which points at a possible Logic gitch. This is making me start to look for the possibility of another DAW as it's becoming unworkable. If this happens during a client's mixing session, I can be chasing my tail for 30/40 minutes sorting it out, which just won't do.
  5. I'm having this very same problem in 10.2.2 right up to the current update. I'm using a Focusrite Control 2802 that works on the Mackie HUI protocol. It's fine when there are no plugins on the session, but when I come to automating and there are plugins the automation on the control surface is unusable. Really really disappointing. It makes my desk pointless, and I can't believe it's not been fixed in the latest update. If anyone has a workaround, or even a fix, I'd love to hear it!
  6. I've been having this very same problem in 10.2.2 right up to the current update 10.3. Before 10.2.2 this was fine. I'm using a Focusrite Control 2802 that works on the Mackie HUI protocol. It's fine when there are no plugins on the session, but when I come to automating and there are plugins on the session the automation on the control surface is unusable. Touch and latch automation do not work at all in the way they should and are unusable. Really really disappointing. 7. I'm just bumping this in the hope someone's worked this out as I'm still getting the plugin reset bug happening a year later! I've clean installed the system, updated OS and it's still the same. Gutted!
  8. I'm having exactly the same problem with 10.2.2. I'm almost certain it's not plugin in related as it seems to be completely random i.e different plugins/manufacturers etc every time. It's even wiped automation. It seems to be related to the core audio reinitialising, that's when it happens. As soon as you notice one plugin has defaulted, you have to check the entire session and usually find more. It's a nightmare. If anyone has any kind of solution it would be accepted joyously!! It's just about the worst bug imaginable and I can't find a fix. I literally must have lost weeks chasing my tail when this happens and I'm up against the clock with mixes for clients. It's not good enough from Apple and I'm looking at alternative DAWs
