  1. I've been delving into spacial audio/ambisonics recently and have noticed that there is almost a universal lack of support for Logic. Take a look at the links below, no support fo Audio Units. After some research this lack of support 'appears' to be a technical limitation that Logic does not support a high enough channel count per track for spacial audio. This seems very strange to me as Apple has been pushing their hardware products (iMac Pro) as the ideal machines for VR content creation, whilst not supporting VR Audio in any meaningful way within their own Pro Audio offering. Here are the links: https://www.blueripplesound.com/products/o3a-core - tech requirements https://facebookincubator.github.io/facebook-360-spatial-workstation/ - every major DAW except logic https://www.iis.fraunhofer.de/en/ff/amm/dl/software/mhapi.html https://www.ssa-plugins.com/compatible-hosts/ DTS X Encoder Suite - AAX only Ambisonic/spacial audio will be a key component of production workflows and Logic's lack of support will mean many will go elsewhere. Which would be a big shame.
  2. Did you resolve this? I have a Korg nano but haven't upgraded to 10.4.5 yet
  3. I moved my sound library to an external drive using Logic's new feature. This has been working ok until recently. Now when I launch Logic I'm presented with the Thank you for downloading Logic from the Mac App Store " screen, and it begins to download 'additional content'. If I go into my sound library locations preferences I see I have two current locations!! Surely it shouldn't be possible to have two so this sounds like a bug. But how do I go about having my sound library read from LogicAudio instead of Macintosh HD???
  4. That's true - it's just that they're long samples (i.e. 6 - 7 minutes). Strangely there doesn't seem to be a way to do this simple task in Logic. Thanks
  5. Hi, I'm wanting to pitch shift some samples I have and I'm wanting to do this in the traditional sense: that is, I don't want the material to maintain its length or any other special effects. So if I transpose the material down by an octave I expect it to be much longer. Any ideas how to do this in Logic?
  6. I recently purchased Waves NX which among other features allows you to mix surround in headphones (apparently). I'd like to test this out but I don't have surround hardware. I'm very new to Logic (come from Cubase) but can't figure out how to create a surround project. So far I've: installed sound flower created an aggregate device and setup with 6 channels selecting this new device in logic though doesn't allow me to setup a surround project (see pics below)
