I'm sure I'm answering my own question here but any knowledge or opinions can be helpful.
Currently running iMac 2009 i7 2.8 ghz 20GB RAM with Logic Pro X 10.2.2 on Mavericks Osx into producing dance music consisting with lots of vst's. The mac benchmark score for my mac is low like 7000ish. I upgraded the RAM

My cpu is getting destroyed after a handful of tracks with vst's - ie - Battery, Kontakt, Sylenth, Massive, etc during my creative process; I would like to eventually record vocals within my session and then mix.
I understand Logic's stacked core issues and spread plugins accordingly and am not using multitimbral insts, I believe this system is just too slow to handle what I want to do.
How will this Mac Pro (upgraded to 64gb ram) configuration compare to my current iMac and will it be able to handle large sessions like most pro mixes require?
Mac Pro 5,1 2010 12 Core x2 5670 2.93ghz upgraded to 64GB RAM

Any help is GREATLY appreciated, thank you in advance!
