  1. Thanks fisherking. Overnight, my App Store has magically thrown up several new updates including Logic, so the problem is solved!
  2. Thanks. Yes I did look in the app store but all it offers me is 10.7.4
  3. I've been using Big Sur for quite a while but have never been prompted to upgrade to Logic 10.7.5. So I've just upgraded to Monterey 12.6.3 in the hope that would resolve the issue but it has made no difference. Any guidance please? Thanks
  4. Thanks Des. I removed the plug-in from the V11 folder, which appeared to have done the trick as I was no longer getting the Vocal Rider plug-in error messages when I opened Logic. However, I then ran the AU Reg Utilities (I have three versions) and now the Vocal Rider error messages have started up again when I open Logic despite the fact the plug-in is no longer in the V11 folder.

  6. Thanks David. I've tried that but none of my individual Waves plug-ins appear in the Components folder
  7. Hi, I keep getting error messages every time I open Logic that say I do not have a valid licence for the Waves Vocal Rider plug-in. I spoke to Waves and they confirmed that this is the case. However, whenever I've tried to go into Plug-In Manager to get rid of the offending items, it won't allow me to - for example, when I right-click on the plug-in, the 'Remove' option is disabled. Please advise on how I can remove the plug-in. Thanks.
  8. Many thanks for your help Atlas, very useful.
  9. Hi guys I currently own a 2015 13" MacBook Pro with 16GB of RAM and 0.5TB of SSD storage. I've just acquired the 16" MacBook Pro with 64GB of RAM and 8TB of SSD storage. BACK UP I currently back up the contents of my Mac, on which I keep my music projects and photos, on a portable 1TB G:Drive via Time Machine. GLYPH EXTERNAL HARD DISK I also have a Glyph 2TB external hard disk on which I store music sample libraries (drum sounds, guitar samples etc) because my my current Mac has not got enough storage for them. My samples currently take up about 1TB. PLAN My plan is to migrate everything from my current Mac to my new Mac. (1) What is the most efficient way to do this please? (2) Once this has been done, will the various third-party software plug-ins that I own be recognised/activated automatically or will have to go through some kind of reactivation process? I also want to move all the music sample libraries to my new Mac so I can dispense with Glyph hard disk. (3) What's the best way to achieve this? (4) Will I need to remap the pathways so that samples used in current projects are recognised by the new Mac? If so, what's the best way of doing this? Finally, I assume I'll need to get a new portable drive to backup everything on the new Mac via Time Machine. (5) Will a 2TB drive be sufficient given that my current total documents plus libraries come to about 1.5TB? Many thanks
  10. Good stuff. So you don't just rely on a Time Machine backup of all the contents of your Mac because you think your method is safer?
  11. Lovely, thanks. What is it you're backing up and to where?
  12. Thanks Cleamon, very helpful. I this the Carbon Copy software you're referring to? https://bombich.com/download
  13. Great explanation, thanks FuzzFilth
