  1. Hahahaha you're right. I need to seriously reduce my Excel usage.
  2. I could swear i've used this feature in Logic. Hiding sections of the timeline to try out different arrangements without the need to use skip cycle or make permanent changes to the arrangement. Now i can't find this feature anywhere and the question is: Did i just dream it? Cheers -Dniz
  3. Hi, no unfortunately, overlapping notes of same length are completely hidden behind the note that based on some logic is shown in front.
  4. Hi! I can't find a key command nor a feature to see notes that overlap in the piano roll when editing multiple regions simultaneously. Is there such a thing or has anyone found a quick way around this? Would be awesome if there was a way for Logic to show these somehow visually or at least to have a key command to cycle between notes that overlap. Thanks -D
  5. Yep, and wow, didn't realise that upward dragging behaviour! So yeah, bug or some form of logic deep from bizarro land.
  6. My pleasure! Indeed, forgot that cause it's more intuitive for me to hold it . Yes, CMD-Z is your is your friend while grasping the mechanics of this . This is not true. While dragging a take (at least in 10.5.1) and the placement indicator line is above a take, it will be moved below that take. So if you drag Take 3 above Take 1, it will be moved below Take 1, ie. to the bottom.
  7. Seems like it's been made possible after this post: 1. Select the take folder and press Option-Q to turn off quick swipe comping mode 2. Click and drag the takes to the order you want * Press and hold Shift after clicking the take to lock dragging to the vertical axis 3. Press Option-Q to turn quick swipe comping mode back on
  8. Glad to hear you got it sorted! With basic resets i meant these: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063 Still for the app store problem this might be something to try: https://osxdaily.com/2016/10/08/mac-app-store-temp-cache-folder/ And to rule out possible macos user account problem, another user account could be created and see if the download would work with that.
  9. Ugh, of course it doesn't work for everyone the same way . I would try logging out from app store and back in (maybe even log out, restart and then log back in). Oh and make sure you've quit app store and don't have "reopen windows" when restarting. If these don't help, i'd try to do the basic resets (nvram etc).
  10. What worked for me on 10.4.6 Mojave: 1) Backup your current version of Logic Pro X as per Apple's instructions 2) Delete Logic Pro X from Applications and restart your mac 3) Open App Store and Click on your account name in the bottom left corner 4) Click on the download symbol next to Logic Pro and it'll give you the option to download the latest compatible version with your OS It's pretty silly it doesn't work from the product page of Logic Pro. And also that it doesn't work unless you delete it AND restart (led to "purchase cancelled" etc for me before restart). I wonder if it has to do with the name change from Logic Pro X to Logic Pro. Anyways hope this helps!
  11. Just double-click the name, press "Delete" and "Enter". Thanks David from the past! You don't know how satisfying it was to get that alternative remnant away from the title bar while cleaning up the session!
  12. Ok, and then i found it instantly after posting this..... So dragging a point compresses/expands. Dragging the automation line doesn't... I'll just leave this here.
  13. Hey all I just want to simply drag my midi dynamics automation points up or down while maintaining the relative values, but can't seem to find a way to do it, Logic just insists on compressing/expanding them, argh! Really seems like the simplest thing to do, but i can't figure it out and can't find anything by googling either. Tried all possible modifier key combinations as well. What am i not getting here? Thanks
  14. Here's another way to do this: 1) Click the piano roll key of the desired notes to select all the notes 2) Quantize them to 100% 3) Select the notes you want to edit, press shift-p to select same subposition and do your modifications to the notes 4) Click the piano roll key again and unquantize them by sliding the quantize strength to zero (or your desired quantize length
