  1. Guys, I´m not knocking the advice as it´s really appreciated. It´s just that I have updated EVERYTHING and still haven´t been able to solve the issue.
  2. Is Logic Pro compatible with the UM1 driver?
  3. Ok, drivers are up to date. Its connected through a MIDI interface. I´m lost.
  4. it´s not the drivers on the keyboard. This has only happened since I updated Mac OS to Sierra.
  5. Hi - sorry, the MIDI isn´t coming through to Logic from the keyboard. There is no signal, even though everything is connected as before.
  6. Sometimes I hate Apple I updated my OS to Sierra and now I can´t get MIDI to play. Can´t for the life of me remember how to set it up...can anyone help? Thanks
  7. Hi all Do you know where I can find a good whistler i.e. samples or midi patch? Thanks!
  8. Hi all! Are there any good video tutorials on mixing a horn section for a jazz ditty? I have this 20 second piece of music, but I want to improve the horn sound: https://soundcloud.com/martynrich/jazz-ditty Many thanks in advance!
  9. Oh lord, I just added the gain as suggested in the thread with mono output and it sounds completely different...that has open up a whole new world of problems...
  10. Huge thanks for responding and for the positive comments. Not sure what you mean by correlation issues as Im a beginner...? Other people have mentioned the panning on the bass but I am a bit torn. On the chorus it is dead centre. Thanks again!
  11. I really like the song...very nicely put together. To my ears the mix sounds ok, although sometimes the percussion sounds like little pops, especially in the beginning. The rest of the sounds work well together and blend in nicely. I would maybe cut the percussion from the beginning and bring it in a little later. There is plenty enough else going on to keep the interest up.
  12. Personally I think you have to learn theory so you can throw it out the window when you need to...sometimes these things happen through experimentation or by accident. However, trying to break the mould is always a good thing to me because it makes music refreshing to listen to. I say don't worry about it at all.
  13. Hi everyone This is my first serious go at recording, mixing and mastering in Logic Pro X. Im not a great singer but I have done my best to put as pro a recording together as possible. It is a mix of folk and dance, with some guitars on top. I would be very interested in any feedback on the production quality. Thanks in advance for taking the time to listen. https://soundcloud.com/martynrich/friend
