  1. Good tip Mike. Done. I work with developers all day and forget to file bugs when I come home and put on my composers hat.
  2. In the end I had to reinstall in the default location and move the library again. It never finished the previous attempt and just kept asking for permission and silently failing.
  3. One thing to consider is the size and vitality of the community. I switched from Digital Performer long ago in part because there weren't enough resources for me to get help and learn and become more proficient in the DAW compared to Logic. Live was not so popular when I made the switch but it has improved a lot in this regard and is now on par with Logic if not better depending on your genre. These days, most things I need to figure out is either on YouTube or here in this forum already. That's pretty valuable to me. A second point is your use case. Live and FL haven't yet added the depth of features you'll need if you're looking to compose to picture. Logic, Digital Performer, and other older DAWs like Cubase are going to lead the way there.
  4. No progress bar but it didn't ask when I opened my latest session. Maybe it finished. This is an older project file though from before the sound library move. I'll see if the behavior is different with a new project from template.
  5. I've entered my password a couple of times but keep getting this after recently moving the sound library to an external ssd. Anyone know the problem and how to fix it? Thanks! ZarLewisMusic
  6. I LOVE YOU MAN! Three years - I've been just hitting 'ok' and making music Thanks for the assist!
  7. Anyone know how I can get Logic to stop looking for hardware I don't have anymore? I sold my Maschine Studio long ago but Logic still looks for it every time I open a project.
  8. There's a common effect in glitchy styles that Mr Bill details here: (seconds 37-41 for the sound in isolation). I've not been able to find any way to accomplish this in Logic. The missing step for me is creating the accelerating tempo map (wave) from which to extract a groove. Logic won't let me stretch out a bit of audio like he does in the clip in Live. Anyone got a technique to share to pull this off? Thanks!
  9. Hi - Did you ever come up with a good way to do this? I'd like to use a similar technique to create accelerating or decelerating glitch fx via midi.
