  1. Yes, Kontakt 6, usually one per instrument with about 20 tracks per project when I compose. A lot of plugins like Waves, Plugin Alliance and similar when I mix/mastering. But in this case I work with audio tracks only.
  2. Hi everyone, I have the opportunity to trade my: MacBook Pro i7 (3rd gen) quad core 2012 with 16GB ram with iMac 21.5 i5 (7th gen) dual core 2017 with 32GB ram Do you think this iMac will be better in running Logic? I know that i7 is generally better but double amount of ram... From this comparison with can see that the iMac is better in single core benchmark but worse in multi core: https://everymac.com/ultimate-mac-comparison-chart/?compare=all-intel-macs&highlight=0&prod1=MacBookPro059&prod2=iMacIntel069&prod3=iMacIntel003
  3. Seriously? There's no option to put those icons back there?
  4. I partially agree. It depends of the type of reverb. In a very large hall for example, if the singer is on the left wall, the reverb won't ne just a bit more...but a lot more. The energy of the the reverb is correlated to the direct sound and this would be more noticeable in large spaces. What is weird is that all of them are True Stereo. Softube TSAR 1 and 1R are both True Stereo algorithms but they behave differently. Both Altiverb and Revolver are True Stereo, Altiverb has a little prominence but Revolver responds more, as it should be.
  5. Hi guys, I was posting on another thread but I think this is something peculiar that needs a new topic! I have one stereo track that I pan hard left using the Direction Mixer (I've also tried this experiment with the pan). This track is sent to a reverb bus. The reverb should receive the panning and act accordingly, hence the hard left track should be only on the left side of the reverb. Now, with alghortimic reverb, the reverb doesn't respond properly, the signal is received only on the left side but the reverb output is both L and R. Only Valhalla Vintage Verb and Softube Tsar 1-R have a little bit more on the left side. With convolution reverbs, it only works with some plugins, which I find very weird! Here's what happens: - Space Designer, Waves IR-L (efficient), McDSP Revolver: work properly, receive only the left signal and reverb is only on left - Altiverb 7, Waves IR-L (full), Waves IR1: do not work! receive left signal but reverb is not panned. Do you have any idea of what's going on? Maybe bad programming of the plugins? I find it very strange that especially Altiverb doesn't react as it should be.
  6. Oh yes, of course. Sorry I misuse the word "leak" I actually found something very weird. I opened a new topic: /viewtopic.php?f=1&t=126164
  7. Hi mate, I've tried this but it doesn't work. I inserted the direction mixer on a stereo track and pan all to the left. Then aux send (post pan/fader) in the channel to a stereo buss for reverb. The reverb should be also all to left but it still leaks to right channel as well. Why is that so?
  8. +1 This would a fantastic option! Dp does that very well and I hope Logic will do it very soon!

    Project path

Actually I meant for the project I'm working at the moment. Once the project is done I will store it in an external hard drive. I don't use audio files, only VI and a final audio for bouncing. That's why I thought it was ok to keep the current project on the system hard drive

    Project path

Hi guys, I have an internal SSD for the system and several external hard drives for the samples. Composing only with virtual instruments, do you think it's better using the internal SSD for the project folder or an external firewire 800?
