  1. How to remove ties for a particular beat, and to re-write? For instance: (by the way, ho do you make playing gif screenshots?)
  2. Thank you. I didn't know that entering a rest rebeams / renotates music. I try to experiment but I am not sure how it works actually. Sometimes it works sometimes not.
  3. Hello. I have a problem. I would like to know how to re-notate the following. Beams in two different tracks are different. Also, I would like to learn how to re-beam that and re-notate (ex. 8th tied to 16th into one dotted 8th).
  4. Yes, the workaround is to add some dummy note at the beginning. Also, opening MIDI file in places it correctly at the right place. However I have numerous separate files that I need to set at the same timeplace. I don't know if this is a bug, or there is something Logic does by default that could be changed.
  5. Hello. I import MIDI files from Ableton Live. I have a problem. In Finale, Sibelius, Digital Performer and Ableton, midi clips imports properly, but LPX import a clip cutting of the beginning of the file. Here is attached a file. There are two notes. The first half note starts in measure 5. But When I insert it in LPX, the clip starts from the note, not from the beginning of the MIDI file. New MIDI File.mid Is there any import setting that I am missing?
  6. Won der ful! Thank you! Now CMD+P this. Alan's answer was helpful as well, but I have customised my transport bar, therefore I was unable to find it directly at the first try. Thank you both!
  7. Great thank you, I have now downloaded that video to my LPX Tricks video collection!
  8. Wonderful. That works perfectly. Thank you.
  9. Alan, it sounds that it could solve my problem, I have tried but I am lost. Can you please lead me where to click?
  10. Hello. I don't need a shortcut. What I don't need is when I do UNDO that my window changes.
  11. Is it possible to apply a command to snap both left and right ends (=length) of MIDI notes to the current grid in the Piano Roll? I know for the command Q, but I would like to apply it to the grid, both left and the right ends. Working on longer note values - just to zoom out and apply a command, working on smaller values - just zoom in.
  12. Is it possible to prevent moving the display to the Playback head when undo is applied (Cmd+Z)? Sometimes I work extensively in cleaning up things in the Piano Roll, than to fix a small mistake I'v done I apply Cmd+Z, but the view disappears and goes to the playback head which is many measures away. I get lost completely.
  13. Thanks, But is it possible to control the grid regardless of the zoom? For instance, I wish work on the beat basis grid, or on the measure basis, easier for orientation? Actually I have tried to zoom but avail. I am in 4/4, and the max grid is 16-note.
  14. Hello. Is there any way to change the resolution of the piano roll's grid, so that only lines of Beats or only lines of Measures are displayed, or lines of 32-notes, regardless of zoom?
  15. Solved: I have zoomed to much, become dizzy and confused. Everything is there.
